One of my favorite tunes of all time and a tribute to the best frigging Captain in the history of professional sports. What became inevitable on June 7th, 1997 won’t actually occur for 48 more hours. But you just know tonite’s all about 19.
So let’s Live Blog this bitch, eh?
I’m betting HNIC will show most, if not all, of this…
Former Detroit Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman, ex-Wings Brett Hull and Luc Robitaille, Brian Leetch and Lou Lamoriello will be honored tonight during a pregame ceremony at Air Canada Centre.
The five will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday night.
The festivities will push back the start of the Wings-Leafs game by 20 minutes, for a 7:28 puck drop.

This is just absolute…. What’s the word for it? Um… Crap?
There’s new technology being developed that allows the user to accomplish tasks such as typing by simply thinking of what they want to say.
That’s what the Wings are doing here- they’re thinking it in. No physical exertion of any kind necessary. Warm, cozy, tucked in for the night.

Poor Williams. He was doing fine this year and now this - and everyone getting hurt is getting serious things, not “he’s got a minor sprain and he’ll be back in a week,” it’s all broken bones and torn ligaments until I’m waiting for someone to explode into his constituent atoms at center ice.
Extreme situations call for extreme measures - human sacrifice is required, and there is only one person on the team who would do.
Household pets are no longer enough.

For the record, this marks five “special” games in a row the Wings have lost. Barring the Hockey Gods changing their minds and helping Detroit out quite a bit in these final seconds, of course.

Chrimany. Joining the lb lste via droid after I’ve shut this garbage off… terrible offensive and frankly coaching effort. The fact that lebda and e are still together and *#$%@& up is driving me nuts. Ozzie needs a capable backup. He can’t handle these kippersoffian workloads in the reg season. They beat Calgary, Boston, and San Jose by a combined score of 7-2 then got demolished 5-1 by the Maple Leafs.
