Wow. Big day. For the first time in three years, a savant actually used the word “brah” in the comment section.
It threw us all for a loop, but I think we’ll recover.
When? Now.
Just in time for the Live Blog Bitches. BJ’s for all, courtesy of Rick Nash.

Spit it out Murph…. sounds like he’s lightly slurring his words all the time these days.
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 01/06/09 at 07:34 PM ET
I could watch Datsyuk’s shootout goal over and over and over in the pregame.
My mom didn’t see it until the highlights on the news - she and my dad just got a new HDTV (it was their 40th anniversary gift to each other) and even my dad, who is not a big sports fan, was watching the game. My mom was in and out, and after a bit she asked my dad who won the game. He told her it was tied at the end of overtime. She asked again who won, and he said, “I turned it off before they started that asinine tiebreaker crap.”

This is so I don’t forget!

And also to remind all the Maple Leaf Canadians driving down I-95 to Florida and back.

MO - I think Murph had some undisclosed concussions.
Errr…ok, he just drinks a lot these days. WCII he was looking haggard.

I suspect a big BJ night from Dick Rash. I hope we can contain him!
Go WINGS….enjoy the game Bitches.
Happy Birthday/Anniversary Chief.

I like seeing Murphy on NHL Network…a familiar face, Wing-friendly. He is definitely not a Douche Canoe.

See Baroque, you reappear and we are on page 2 and the game hasn’t started.
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 01/06/09 at 07:37 PM ET
Hugs?

Yeah, I think that may be a record MO.

Thanks for the link….my Directv is blocked out by a 10 mile deep cloud bank. Geez, I had to put on 2x reading glasses to see the screen…..The upside to it is that I won’t have to look at Murphy and Keating in HiDef.

Dammit….why don’t they ever show Karen singing anymore?
ARRGH!
Posted by The Hurricane on 01/06/09 at 07:38 PM ET
This better not be a long night boys.

Side-track:
In the Buffalo-Ottawa game, Jarkko Ruutu bit Andrew Peters’ thumb during a face wash/scrum, leaving teeth marks in Peters finger. Peters drops his gloves and picks up an unsportsmanlike penalty. He didn’t drop his gloves to fight, he dropped them to show the ref his bitten digit.
This league is amazing.

Yikes, that was pretty ugly breakouts there. Lil more work on puck support please.

I already miss Lilja,
No, I’m not being sarcastic.
Posted by dougie on 01/06/09 at 07:40 PM ET
that’s a nice link, 1/2 second behind my Center Ice feed.
Also, nice turn over inside our blue line, lucky we’re not down 1-0 already.

Hossa is due. Big time.
I don’t even remember seeing him in the windy city….

Notice Baroque is here, someone had to take her place….. RWBill, what say you?
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 01/06/09 at 07:40 PM ET
Gropes?
Maybe not. Depends how the game goes and what kind of mood I’m in, maybe.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 01/06/09 at 07:41 PM ET
Whoa. Hoss on the third line now? Happy, Wally and him?

I, for one, have not noticed the guy lately. Maybe Babs is sending a message?

Speaking of PBR, where’s Dub lately?
Still selling crafts in his spare time?
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 01/06/09 at 07:44 PM ET
Maybe Babs is sending a message?
Isn’t he still up there in points though?
Posted by eyesris from Asheville, NC on 01/06/09 at 07:45 PM ET
William Tell LMAO 10 feet over the net
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 01/06/09 at 07:45 PM ET
I don’t know about a message - Hossa has looked more snakebit than anything else. It’s not like he’s demoted to skating with a couple of nobodies.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 01/06/09 at 07:46 PM ET
Looks like that was just a partial change. He was out with Z last couple.
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 01/06/09 at 07:46 PM ET
There is NO reason for Sammy to not have hit the 24 SQUARE FEET where the goalie stands….
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 01/06/09 at 07:47 PM ET
Chief, I think Wally just stayed on a bit long on that shift, so Hank couldn’t get on. He’s been going with Cleary and William Tell to start the game so far, and the Big Hoss is with Hank and Happy.
Posted by Alzy from Innisfail, Alberta, Canada on 01/06/09 at 07:47 PM ET

Zero points in five of the last six games. Three assists at Wrigley.
Posted by monkey from here to Timbuktu on 01/06/09 at 07:48 PM ET
Nate beat me to the punch…
I think the lines are kinda funky anyway. The only reason we changed them last year was because of injury, for the most part. Seems like Uncle Mike is changing them quite a bit.

Maybe he has an iron allergy.
And it’s transmitted to his pucks.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 01/06/09 at 07:48 PM ET
Well Hossa had 3 assists in the Gary.Ass.Bridgestone game.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 01/06/09 at 07:50 PM ET
ah crap, Stu may just have given Cheli/Lebda/Meech a starting spot for a while.
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 01/06/09 at 07:50 PM ET
I’ll bet that’s a broken nose for Stuart.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 01/06/09 at 07:50 PM ET
Stuck in a loft in Chelsea, waiting for the tenant. No jokes now.
So I thought I’d pick up the live feed and join in because I’ve had six bottles of eight percent and no dinner. This is pretty much what my childhood was like when I’d been bad.
Baroque, a sincere welcome back. Good to have you.
Just try not to bring any idiotic penalties like that one with you.

Stuart caught a stick in the face on a BJ follow-through - officials didn’t notice.
