In The Ruins Of Her Ice Water Mansion: It’s a Game 4 Live Blog

I’m tired.  Tired of my wife kicking my butt in Wii bowling.  To quote Appollo Creed, that’s very hard for a man of my intelligence to take.  It is, however, what it is.

The solution? A Game 4 Live Blog set to yet another lyric from the greatest folk song of all time.  A folk song that kicks the living hell, by the way, out of anything Bob Dylan ever did.

HaloMasterChief:  Yes the Wings start on the PP.

Yes JJ, the genius Quinnville should have had Budaj in net the last 3 1/2 games.

Good omen, we’ve knocked out Quinnville in 97, 98, and 02.  Hmmm…

Steve, sorry. I don’t buy that stuff.  Maybe in the NBA, but not here.  Gramps agrees with you though

.

For the record:
I never said the Wings would tank tonight.  I said it looked like they were trying to in that dismal g3 performance.

Did anyone else notice the “C” on Sakic’s jersey?  It’s hideous.

The font used on the Avalanche sweaters is one of the ugliest I’ve seen.  The serifs on the letters are terrible.  That captain’s “C” on the left of Sakic’s chest looks like a curving arrow, as if to say “insert heart here”.

J.J.: Yep. A quick 180 for sure.

Why does it seem there just isn’t due respect for the skill and talent up and down the whole roster for Detroit? I’ve been watching the other playoff games and it just doesn’t look like ANYONE has the number of skilled hockey players like the Wings.

Stone, IWO, for sure this team transitions exceptionally well.  The announcers said that Detroit “may be the fastest team in the league.”  Maybe yes or no, but just 2 years ago who ever dreamed we would be called one of the fastest teams?

Total cop-out by coach Q sneaking Budaj in to start the 2nd.  He needed to do it in front of the fans and everyone to reenergize his team and the arena.  Too little, too late by a coach who is soon going to find his seat quite warm.

I think the long break will help keep them from suffering from a series-domination hangover.  You hand a team their asses like this in the playoffs and it’s hard to stay focused and not start thinking that the playoffs are really this easy.
