It pains me to say it, but I could see the Wings losing this game tonight.

I just finished covering the Raps-Magic NBA series (so I missed the first two games of Wings-Ava) but I think the matchup and talent level between the two teams in this series is very similar.

So if my theory holds true, the Avs will beat the Wings 4-2 or so tonight. Then Game 4 will be really close, but the Wings will pull it out in Denver, maybe in overtime. Then they will come back to Detroit and take care of business in Game 5.

If Forsberg and Hanan do play, and the crowd is nuts, it will be enough to push them over the top emotionally. It’s such a boost to come home to a rocking crowd when you’re down.

I have to say that Mule is making so many smart choices on the ice right now he has to be commended.  He is playing on a different level… wow.

One word to describe the first period: unsurprising.
