YES!! Avs pull 3or4, and they can’t even gain the Wings zone!
Posted by Matt from Chicago on 04/29/08 at 11:27 PM ET
“good night, from Denver Colorado.”
you can say that again.
Posted by PaulinMiamiBeach on 04/29/08 at 11:27 PM ET
THANK. GOD. Great win. Great game. Avs did a lot better…and Josie wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected him to be. Not sure about a sweep, but this series is over nonetheless.

And I can breathe again…
Geebus that was tense…
It’s getting down to foot-on-throat time, people…

Phew. 9

So…does Theodore start game 4? My money says yes. Because Quinn has a man-crush.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/29/08 at 11:29 PM ET
we tcb’d when we had to…awesome show of force in that last 2 on the forecheck. gotta love that we took the fight to them in their own zone instead of playing the neutral zone trap.
when you win, you can excuse a breakaway miss like that…but come on buckets…would have been a nice clincher…

Credit for drawing 6 mins in penalties!!!!

now that was a shutdown shift! although they couldn’t score on the open net, they kept the pressure on.

Haha..a simple f**king line change that twice could not be executed properly. Inexcusable.

Mike Ricci apparently thinks the Eurotwins are incredible.
Thanks, but they don’t visit trucker stops…
Posted by Osrt on 04/29/08 at 11:34 PM ET
I’m not superstitious like they are on the TURTLE blog, but a couple of times now I’ve come in with my stress reliever chant and the Wings came out with couple quick goals afterwards.
it is keeping me off the Stress Train since Round 1…

3-0 Baby… we are owning these guys despite having their best game of the year against us.

can’t believe three series are 3-0. Cup Finals might be early this year…

I wonder how Boob from Boulder’s mother enjoyed her facial this evening.

I was waiting for Jose to give up another goal so that I could call him Jose Four or Five, and it’d be hilarious. Oh well—there’s still next game.
Obviously that was a much improved game by the Avs. Brilliant game by the Zetterberg and Datsyuk, though. This is the first time these playoffs they both pushed their game to that next level.
Still a disappointing game for Chelios, and it was a little worrying to see Kronvall and Franzen made to look so slow.
Posted by Ryan from Toronto on 04/29/08 at 11:41 PM ET
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I want VS coverage. I don’t get to see Ozzie’s interview or Howe or anything. Damn.
Classic moment though: “Here comes Franzen to tell Forsberg what you’re doing to our countryman you idiot!”—Mickey Redmond.
Posted by Osrt on 04/29/08 at 11:42 PM ET
As soon as the game ended, VS. went to their “Hockey Central” post game show, and Keith Jones immediately began gobbling Forsberg’s ballsack, talking about how much of a warrior he is and all that shit. Thank God the game was over and I could change the damn channel. Good road win for the boys, now let’s really take care of business and come home Friday for a few days off before we set our sites on Turco and the Stool

If we were going to drop a game this series, this shoulda been it..
They outshot us 35-33

Chief… I just now read the title of this GDT, and only checked in around gametime…
LOL
I was listening to Gordon Lightfoot this morning having just got some last night, first time in years too… what a coincidence!

thanks for a great year ken and mick!! see ya in october!!
It was a great game from them. Unabashed homerism; they were calling the game like genuine fans. And Jon Keating can’t stop smiling.
I love these guys.
Posted by Osrt on 04/29/08 at 11:51 PM ET
I just checked out the MMH comments. That Boob from Boulder sure is a whiny little bitch.
Posted by O-Joe on 04/29/08 at 11:52 PM ET
Shane, Joe, Jibble; come over and talk, lament etc––I like you all in that hateful way.
Bob: pull up your sack and come back here like we challenged you to. Come back and schnell you little biatch…
Posted by Osrt on 04/30/08 at 12:16 AM ET
Was it just my imagination, or did I hear “Forsberg is a warrior” at least 5 times during the game? Umm…how is he a warrior? Mac is a warrior. Homer is a warrior. Cheli is a warrior. Forsberg is a guest-appearance on Sex in the City waiting to happen.
Posted by Lauren from Portland, OR on 04/30/08 at 12:17 AM ET
it was a little worrying to see Kronvall and Franzen made to look so slow.
Aww come on give ‘em a break. I think the altitude played a little part in that.
