This is coming from a writer in the most hockey crazy city in the world.

I kept waiting for the Eurotriplets to show up but when the hammer had to be delivered, well, who else but Datsyuk to lay it on nice and thick to make the game 4-2 Wings.

Dats and his take aways are just amazing. I still was wishing for Ozzie in net tonight. Sigh. At least I got to see the whole game which I am very grateful for. If I lose another Wings game on Center Ice because of the NHL network, I may really lose it.

Just saw the highlights (NHL.com’s) after an evening of studying and saw nothing but Wings scoring chances.
I’m really impressed with the Franzen’s goal because the passing before it was fantastic. We may, gulp, have serious secondary threats––and by serious, I mean they back you off. Good stuff.
Lilja got first star. Aside from an important goal, did he play well defensively?
As for Dats, now that he has taught you Cane fans how to say “assume the position” in Russian, perhaps you should try it on the local sheep?
