From TSN:
The Vancouver Canucks’ postseason hopes have taken a hit.
Brendan Morrison is done for the season and the playoffs after suffering a torn ACL. The 32-year-old has battled injuries this season and missed significant time (38 games) after having wrist surgery in mid-December.
Update 10:30am PT:
And in other news: Roberto Luongo has now left the team for the greener pastures of a Florida maternity ward, and about 1000 (and counting) Canucks fans are expected to throw themselves off the Lions Gate bridge sometime later this afternoon.
In other words… just another day in Vancouver.

For pete’s sake, here I was enjoying gloating about the Avalanche win, and now you’ve gone and made me feel <i>bad</i.>. Is that really what you want?

and now I feel bad about my inability to properly code italics, too.

I feel sick. This just sucks. As I said before, I’m having flashbacks of the last time we missed the playoffs when the team lost 6 in a row down the stretch - OY!
I’m going to go throw myself under a bus now.

Laker— Getting slaughtered in the playoffs is still better than watching Edmonton or Nashville play. ![]()
Greg— You should be seriously <i.>embarrassed</i.> by your inadequate HTML coding skills.
Trini— “I’m going to go throw myself under a bus now.”
I wonder if the Vancouver Canucks have ever thought about copyrighting that phrase…??

What, no post about the Avalanche game? I’m disappointed.
Anyway, love the blog, keep up the good work. And if it doesn’t work out for the ‘Nucks this year, just remember that your friends in Colorado know exactly how you feel.

I like your suggestion about copyrighting Trini’s phrase.
“We are all… under the bus.”

Good Lord, don’t you think we’ve been through enough this season?! I think Vancouver’s stock in splints, bandages, and wheel-chairs is sky rocketing… so is my blood pressure actually.

“We are all…under the bus”??!
Wow, that’s brilliant. Well done.

Joe— You just want me to relive the horror! (Thanks for the nice words…)
Canuckfan— Brilliant
LOUiE— I wouldn’t even think about checking my blood pressure this time of year. I seriously do not want to know.

I say we join the Stamkos sweepstakes instead of the playoffs.
Why bother marching into the playoffs only to be slaughtered.
Poor Morrison. Contract year too. OUCH.
