Canucks Sign Kyle Wellwood for 1 Year

Sportsnet has learned that center Kyle Wellwood has accepted the Vancouver Canucks qualifying offer of a one year $997,500 deal.  The Canucks claimed the 25-year old off waivers on June 25 from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Anyone else see Linden giving Wellwood a stern talking to? “It’s time to choose, kid. Do or die. Boom or bust. On the ice or inside Tim Horton’s.”
