Little Darcy on the Prairie

imageDarcy Tucker does have career aspirations.  And although there’s no confirmation that hockey is among them, he and Ron MacLean of Hockey Night in Canada have undertaken a new venture this summer: acting.

‘Little Mosque on the Prairie’ is a CBC television comedy with a large audience. And be you Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim or anything else in this country, hockey is on the menu for everyone.  So Tucker decides to join the mosque.

Note: I realize most readers outside of Canada won’t be familiar with the show but it has been a hit for CBC in recent months, syndicating itself in countries all over the world. And I always enjoy seeing hockey appear in small ways in pop culture, so it’s sort of cool to see a new venture.

If his acting is anything like his game, prepare for some terrible stuff.
