It’s the first time the Rangers have visited GM Place since the Stone Age.
Here’s an open post if anyone would like to comment on the game. Otherwise, it’s just going to be Steve and I arguing by ourselves.
But that works, too. We have no shame.

Ryan Hollweg, Colton orr and Blair Betts starting. Bus-loads of Hollweg-ians are at the garage in Vancouver, where Hollweg often lives and played juniors.
Linden’s line starts, and Hollweg an Mike Brown are throwing haymakers!

At :04 of the 1st period, a pretty good one from Hollweg and Brown.
Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti are trying to figure out why this happened. Well, how bout it just did boys, ok?
Hollweg’s parents are clearly looking to find Mike Brown in the media guide.

Geez, 2 minutes in and Canucks fans are booing Avery? I figured this would be the ONE building in the league that had absolutely no opinion on Mr. Slick. I mean, who the hell is Sean Avery to Vancouver fans?

No, not boring yet.
Though if anyone IS bored, I recommend this article. Apparently “fear” makes Vancouver a better hockey team.
(And Roberto Luongo. There’s some mention of that, too.)
Power play for the Canucks. Excitement will now dominate this game the rest of the way. Bank on it.

I’ll say this about that penalty: Malik just sort of bumped into Raymond. But Malik bumping into a dude sort of crushes him. I think it scares the refs…

I’m listening to Vancouver’s own Tommy Larscheid (sp?) talk about how he’s dreamed of the Canucks winning the Cup since the beginning of time.
I wonder if he’s considered the possibility it’s HIS fault.
