And When the Trades Dry Up…

...that’s when the feces really start to fly over at the Klessel Emporium of BS and Boy Band Groupies.  We haven’t been shy here at A2Y about telling you who we’d rather not face.  You know San Jose, AKA The Team We Don’t Speak Of, is not a pleasing thought.  And recently we’ve added Calgary to the list.  I don’t want to see them either.  That’s me talking.  That’s me saying thoughts of The Enigma’s soft wristers arching into Kipper’s mitt make me sad.

But it’s definitely not the organ-I-zation talking.

Nope.  Not for a second would anyone in the Wing camp let those sentiments go public.  Not now. Not ever.  But, according to lead Boy Bander Dwayne….he has a source.

I just had a very interesting conversation with a person in the Red Wings organization. He told me that the Wings are looking great going into the playoffs, but he really doesn’t want to face Calgary…” Calgary is the scariest team to the Wings…”

Dwayne, you tool.  You couldn’t even hang on to the Wing blogger you had for three weeks.  He came to his senses and realized after your Ralph Malph-like performance on Sportsnet that he should get out, and get out fast.  So you expect even the most naive paying members to believe someone above the rank of George Costanza is going to talk to you from Detroit?

Do I doubt the Wings are wary of Calgary? No. Not for a second.  Is that my point?  Nope.  My point is this, and remains:  he has no source in Detroit.  Maybe Andy Strickland, on Implosion watch, imagined it and texted Klessel followed by their standard “BFF” auto signature.

Keep at it Dwayne.  You’re always great fodder.  Woops, sorry I forgot to link to you again.

Haha, good ol’ Dwayne is up to his tricks again. As far as I see it and know from the people I’ve been able to talk to, the Wings are looking at every team in the West just the same; they’re going to be physical, have good goaltending and try to trap/take away the puck possession style of play. The Wings know what they’ll be up against this year, the past three playoff years should be evidence enough of what they’re going to face. Needless to say, Dwayne’s just trying to get worried Wings fans to add hits to his site and helping to fuel his Canadian “season ticket holders” by pasting that on his front page. Until then, we’re going to instill our confidence in Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Bertuzzi, Lidstrom and Hasek and look forward to another exciting season of playoff hockey.

Dwayne does what he does—his “sources” and “insiders” are often newspapers, websites, TV, radio, etc.  He’s just your average plagiarist—he never cites his sources, and passes off other people’s work as his own, like a high school student.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
