Anti-Digger: Drake in Tonite, Hasek Practices With Upset Tummy

MacLeod has checked in from the morning skate.
Dominik Hasek won’t play tonight because of the flu. He practiced, but left the ice early. Jimmy Howard will back up Chris Osgood.
Tomas Holmstrom (abdominals) had tests yesterday that were negative, meaning good news on his injured midsection. He did not, however, practice with the team today. His return date is unknown.
Dallas Drake (chest) will return to the lineup tonight.
If Homer’s healthy for the playoffs, only an idiot (Blues fans, for example) would pick against the Wings. No one has the depth or variety of skill on each line.

They’re talking cortisone shots now. Playing through injury. Yeah. Only the strong survive. Welcome to the playoffs, motherf*ckers.

I really hope that Mac comes back and gives Jackman, Mayers, and King a healthy “Remember Me Bitches?” tonight.
Good to hear the news about Homer’s negative tests. I just hope he gets enough rest to be back for the Drive to 11.
Turco got a double-minor for high-sticking and then allowed the OT winner? Man, talk about a slap in the beanbag lol. Couldn’t happen to a better team (unless it was the Poultry obviously).

As I said before, Bret Hull should have kept Miller and traded Turco. But then, this Stars team is better for the Wings.

I did see Turco’s 4-minute faux pas… completely unnecessary, completely stupid. In overtime, no less. What a freakin bonehead. It made me smile.

If Homer’s in pain, it probably means he’s in pretty bad shape. God knows I hope the shot will help but that warrior has a pretty high pain threshold.
There must be something severely wrong with him if he’s in pain to the point he can’t do what he loves the most.

Turco got a double-minor for high-sticking and then allowed the OT winner?
Wow. I thought only the Wings (Datsyuk in particular) got him that hot and bothered.

I look forward to reading you live blog Mr. Iwo. When I return from Attending the game, Live, I’ll be sure to let you know what a bleeding Jackman smells like. (double-pun there, one especially for misogynists)
I’m sick and am having slightly delirious dreams; I had a dream that I jumped over the glass and went after a Blue. Unfortunately, that was after he got in some punches on a star…
..it was great…wish you were there to witness my heroics..

Hasek practices with an upset tummy? Welcome to how he makes me feel all the time!!!!
Still grumbling about the f**ing NHL Network and wondering why I paid all this money for Center Ice and the NHL Network has robbed me of more Wings games then I care to count.
Just hoping the Wings make it through this game with no injuries. Since I can’t watch the Wings, I’m off to watch the Edmonton Oilers take on the Dive. I want to see how many goals Jose Three or Four will let in tonight.

TGIF Gang! Believe it or not, but D.D.C. - KHAN! has a little more detail from today’s practice. Apparently, Homer “will have a cortisone shot today in an effort to decrease the pain in his lower abdominal region. “All the tests were really good, but he doesn’t feel good,’’ Babcock said.”
It might be time to make a sacrifice to the hockey gods on behalf of Homer’s Odyssey!! Might also make a sacrifice this afternoon that the “talent” survives tonites tilt. ‘Notes will be trying to put the hurt on tonite—consider what they did last tilt.
Did anyone else notice that Turco’s 4 minute high sticking penalty led to the SJS overtime game winner last night?
I put the odds at better than 95% that Mac drops the gloves tonite! Oh, and Mule pots the game winner again.
