But Dwayne….You Said It Was An (E4)

So perhaps you’ve heard by now that Scott Niedermayer’s coming back.  Well, we saw that didn’t we?  He tried to retire. The poultry said…“Whoa Tiger. Give yourself some time.”  Niedermayer said, “Roger. I will.”

But, yet, there were doubters.  Experts who claimed they had “sources”...

Woops.  Foiled again, eh Dwayne.

19 June 2007

“A few more quick hits here…
Update at 8:51…Sabres made a qualifying offer to Vanek…see garth in the middle to discuss..

The Niedermayer situation will be very clear very soon, and all I have to say is everyone will respect Scotty all the more…”

Ok. I’ve got a quick hit for you.

Scott Niedermayer has decided to return to the Anaheim Ducks.

A source tells The Canadian Press he will make the announcement at a news conference prior to Wednesday’s game against Buffalo.

The 34-year-old has been pondering retirement since winning the fourth Stanley Cup of his career with the Ducks in the spring.

Niedermayer is under contract through next season and is scheduled to earn US$6.75 million per year.

And, no, I don’t “respect Scotty all the more…”

Good call Dwayne.

I guarantee that Niedermayer will retire, but it won’t be today…. Call it an “e5”.... I’ll take any and all bets on this one…. Eklund was right, just not in the manner he represented. Everybody retires.

All he needs to do is put up Leafs rumours everyday and he would max out on hits irregardless of how stupid they are.

He has no understanding of hockey and thinks he knows what Canada is about by watching DVD’s of Corner Gas.

He writes like every NHL player is the greatest thing since sliced bread and he can name drop with the best of them.  But can anyone believe Sportnet will have him back at the trade deadline after last years performance and their ratings?

This saga has been going on for how long now?  Kukla, is it not entirely possible that Scott’s mind has gone back and forth and that at one time he had planned to retire? but has now changed his mind? After all it is December and he has yet to lace up for a game.  What frightens me even more Paul is that you have these blogs saved and you don’t seem to forget, I’m beginning to think that you are just obsessed with Eklund.  You sound like a child and its getting old.

Yeah!  Leave the guy who makes things up and charges people to read it alone!

Sheesh.  The nerve of some people.

I love the dramatic exaggeration by people who have to be right; please show me where you are forced to pay in order to read any of the blogs on the website?  Geesh, as well please show me where on the website they bash any of the other bloggers on the net. Thank you for proving my point on how childish this website is.

I don’t think calling out one site’s b.s. and preventing unsuspecting readers to pay(!) for inferior trade fanfiction is childish.  It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it.

Again, how again are readers forced or tricked into paying for anything on the site? And it is a rumour site, rumours are notfact, so how can they be b.s. If you want to question his sources that is fine, but then how do you explain guests like Brian Burke, Roenick and even today, respected hockey blogger, James Mirtle on the Daily Show.  I never see this site say “hey Brian Burke was on Ek’s show today”, I only see things like “hahaha Ek said Scott would retire two months ago and now he’s back!”  Give me a break, the jealousy of the bloggers on this site is unreal.

I completely agree.  Pointing out how a guy is totally full of poo is absolutely evidence the person doing the pointing is jealous of said poo-stuffed individual.

I know this is true because I heard it from three league sources.

Some days I get compliments like, “you’re really smart. I wish I was as smart as a smart man like you.”  Those make me feel warm.

But, Pat, yours is a keeper. Thank you, my friend. Thank you.

No one here can be too jealous of Eklund - there is no tag for him on the sidebar (unless that is the entry under “idiots,” of course).

I can’t wait until Eklund achieves broken clock accuracy (i.e. right twice a day).

I wonder how accurate the anonymous one is reporting on his frequent illnesses. This week he says it’s brochitis. I’ll give it an i2.
