Could It Be The North Wind They’d Been Feeling?  Yep. And A Game 4 Live Blog’s Coming With It

As usual, I’ll be aboard for the drop of the puck.  It’s essential that you leave all adult pretense behind.  There is no room, and I’m serious, for mature thought.

It’s a Game 4 Live Blog.  Finish it.

Referee knows he missed the call too… I would like to see them change the rule next year to make that reviewable.

Can’t wait to hear all the rationalizations as to why that wasn’t a goal.  Go fack yourselves.

I’m not too stressed, pretty sanguine about the whole thing.  It’s not like we’re playing a dangerous opponent and NEED that goal.

once again the Versus announcers have no idea wtf they’re talking about.  of the 7 criteria for reviewing a goal, here’s #7:

(viii) The video review process shall be permitted to assist the referees in determining the legitimacy of all potential goals (e.g. to ensure they are “good hockey goals”).

It would be interesting to compare Smyth’s disallowed/interference stats versus Homer.

Something tells me Homer is getting more of the Swede treatment.

I thought they got rid of that ridiculous skate-in-the-crease rule after Hull’s Cup clincher

“London Calling” on the PA in Dallas?  After that Zamboni, that’s also pretty cool.

Lurker having to chime in here.

Sutherland has done that twice to Homer this year.  The game against Anaheim in February or so and now this.

Did Homer bang his wife or what?

This game is freaking rediculous.  Even if the goal in the first game was interference that game was over anyway.  This goal is so much bigger.  Wings score first game is over.

Technically, Cleary drew a penalty on his empty netter.

One hand on your stick (and pushing with the other - visible on the replay) is holding according to current NHL rules.

I freaking hate the in-game on-bench/bench-side/near-bench interviews.

What do they really expect the players or coaches to say at that time???

Oh and why do they keep making a big deal about a player being in the crease?

I keep hearing this crap all the time.  Oh he was in the crease, he was in the crease, its no goal.

Do they even read the rule book?

Homer can be in the crease as long as he isn’t interfering with the goaltender, which he wasn’t.

I mean it, too—even the home players, used to this slush, are losing their footing.  Non-traditional hockey market…hell, it’s a non-traditional WINTER market.
