Important stuff first. It would appear Pavel Datsyuk, just as he seems to be heating up, may be hurting.
Ted Kulfan/Detroit News
Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk missed Wednesday’s practice with what coach Mike Babcock described as “stiffness.”
Babcock did not say what the injury was but added he expects Datsyuk will be able to play Thursday against Chicago.
Ok Mike. Is it me, or has Babcock publicly expected every hurt Wing to play the next game after their injury…only to report a few hours before the game that they skated but “couldn’t go”? I’m at the point where if an ailment is bad enough to mention to the media, it’s probably bad enough to keep that player out a few games.
The IwoCPO bachelor dinner tonite: a mini, microwavable container of tomato soup and one of those mini-cereal boxes of corn flakes. Both items I found hidden under the sink in my office. Man, I’m living it up. At some point I might have to teach myself how to (a) shop, (b) cook and (3) stop whining.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
