For some reason, we’ve attached ourselves to Saturday’s win.
RWBill
The dedication from every last player on every shift the last 30 minutes of the game was remarkable. No team can play that way all game all season. This determination was finally rewarded, albeit culminated in a truly bizarre Bertuzzi shootout goal.
Great heart, Wings, and you really can’t underplay what a huge win this was, one of the biggest regular season wins in recent Wings history.
You may consider that a bit dramatic. I don’t. Two straight shutouts, a third period deficit, a kid goalie in hostile waters, a dumbass crowd chanting the wrong name and a serial killer with the game on his stick.
Noted.
A lot of you feel that may have been the game. That one game. The turning point in a season that has tasted like curdled, warm, lumpy, fetid milk.
I happen to agree. And I’ve turned to Ted Nugent to confirm it bitches.
It’s a Live Blog and, at Ted’s direction, we’re doin’ it for free.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
