Reaction from Dallas/Ft. Worth. Jen Floyd Hyphen Engel can go back to her Dem Cowboys worship. Hockey’s over. A few more parting shots and she’s history until January, I’m thinking.
Mini-Mo has a crusty, bright red, rectangular mark on his face that just so happens to resemble the shaft of a hockey stick, like maybe he had been cross-checked in Game 5 or something.
Wings forward Kris Draper said he did not remember his involvement in this incident. Why do I think Draper is going to remember Monday’s cross-check?
I’d be willing to bet Draper’s already forgotten it, wack job. If not yet, a comfortable plane ride home, a day off, then back on the ice to get ready for the Finals? Probably enough to send that incident deep into the vault, along with all the other chops and cheap shots Draper’s taken on the way to 3 Cups.

But my theory on the Stanley Cup Finals is that Pittsburgh is not near used to the defense teams play in the Western Conference. Yes, the Penguins have a tremendous offensive machine, but you have to wonder when it comes to match-ups if the Penguins are deep enough. My guess is Detroit can find matches for the Penguins’ stars. I’m not sure that Jordan Staal and Co. can shut down the Zetterbergs and Datsyuks of the world.
Early prediction: Detroit in 6.
Naturally, an educated Stars fan immediately chimed in.
