Feel Like A Number? I’ve Got Few

How about 16?
12?
19?
All have meaning. And you could say each is more important than the others. But you and I both know that there’s only one number that means anything to any of you right now. No matter how it’s achieved. No matter what kind of pain you as a fan have to endure.

I’ve got nothing else. Words don’t mean squat anymore. Not ours anyway.
Keep Stanley in the family and finish this motherfu**er tonite.
1 to 12.
Just one.
Bitches…It’s our 103rd Live Blog of the season. Make it our last.

just praying that someone will cover me so i can leave the office at 440 PST and make it home for faceoff. Otherwise, I will have to watch the stream and miss part of the 3rd to drive home. not going to be happy if that’s the case

Just so everyone knows who to blame ...
One of my coworkers starts his next shift at 4:00 am tomorrow morning. He’s kind of hoping that when he wakes up at 2:00 am, the game is still going on tied 1-1 so he can see the end of it.
I informed him that if that does indeed happen, win or lose, he’s a dead man.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 06/09/09 at 05:10 PM ET
I work until 7 CST, and it takes me about 25 minutes to drive home. I figure I’ll miss the first ten minutes or so of the game. If the Wings score during that time? I’ll have to get back in my car and start driving around in circles. But I am prepared to do that for the dynasty.
1 to 12. I am freaking the f*ck out. LET’S GO RED WINGS!!!!!

Wishing us all good luck tonight. I’ll find out the results long after you all have. Have a great live blog and don’t mind me, I’m curled up in the Hasek at the very back.

I’ve done that during baseball games. It’s why I always keep plenty of gas in my tank (and I also went out with a guy who would NOT fill up until it was very low, and it pissed me off to no end). “Can’t go home yet, they are still scoring runs!”
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 06/09/09 at 05:21 PM ET
Okay…how’s this for sick?
The clock is my enemy. I was just looking at my TV…it’s not even on, I was just starting at the black screen…and I felt the urge to smash it, just because that would give me exactly 90 minutes to get down to Best Buy, get a new one, get home and install it before the game starts.
I have to imagine that would get the clock moving again in a serious goddam hurry.

I’ve been waiting for this game forever it feels like.
Dinner. Pregame music.
Won’t be able to join you guys for most of the night, but, win or lose, I’ll be around later.

Oh, man, I feel incredible…...Just took an nice, hour long nap to make the time pass faster.
Go ahead, there’s time before the game starts. Get some sleep, ya might need it later on.
Posted by dougie on 06/09/09 at 05:30 PM ET
Anyone implying anything beyond 60 minutes of hockey tonight needs to shut their whore mouth RIGHT NOW. Because there’s no way I can take that sh*t. No freaking way.

LOL, Errey on NHLN rationalizing the Pen(i)s’ fans hatred for Hossa: “He cost them a first rounder!”
Absolutely comical.

I’m jealous there is no way I will be able to nap right now. I’m a stressed out nervous mess. My dad told me to “man up” (whatever that means), and that the Wings will be fine….90 minutes %$#@*

Once again, fate, my job, and Northwest Airlines have conspired to place me on a plane during a playoff game. Am currently hoping for 1) a Wings win and 2) profound delay or cancelation of Northwest 1063.
In that order.
Usually.

I think my director will be shocked at my spike in productivity once the playoffs are done….

Evening, 19. This year we have taken the LB to new heights. Let’s hope tonight is the last night until Fall we flex our creative muscles. The LB equivalent of finger painting.
Tomorrow I want to finger paint a big STFU for a lot of hockey “experts”. One step at a time, inch by inch, shift by shift, we beat down the upstart Pens. Tonight I have 18 other experts to share this game with.

No doubt Kate. I didn’t get more than an hour or two sleep all last night. And yet, right now I’m so freaking wired, that I really do resemble my avatar, blurriness and all.

Dear sweet mother of God, please don’t make me exist in this torturous state of high anxiety for another 72 hours before a Game 7.
I swear to god I will give myself scars just so I can pick at them if that is the case.
End this shit. Please.

Bitches…It’s our 103rd Live Blog of the season. Make it our last.
2 issues. We played 113 (or 114?) games, so we need to get on that next season. And my second issue is that I hope there’s another LB looming. But I will not comment on what that LB will be.
Beer is cold, jersey is on…. let’s get ready to ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumble.

Worked dragged. I’m home now, enjoying a few pre-game beers. This will end tonight. I can’t take a game 7.

I am watching the NHL network, and just saw that commercial for the NHL , you know the one where little sid steps “out” of a picture just after the WIngs victory last year and says “I don’t ever wanna be in that picture again”
Well sid, prepare to say CHEESE, Bitch!!

Does anyone know exactly what an aneurysm feels like? If it is one, will it hold until after regulation? My friend just helped his wife through childbirth today. I know he’s got a lot on his mind but I was hoping he might come over and help me breathe.

Shhh. My wife reads this blog sometimes. Don’t think I wasn’t tempted to knock my TV off the desk during the minor quake we had a few days ago….“Oops! Honey! Gotta go out for a bit and get a replacement!”
Speaking of the wife, I had mentioned I wanted a picture of my girls in their Wings jerseys so I could hang it and the jerseys in my office (my Red Wings shrine). I didn’t realize she took them to the beach and got this shot yesterday…and I wasn’t going to to post it, but after RedWinger’s daughter brought the luck last time, I figured what the hell…

Red Wings, win tonight or they’ll cry themselves to sleep tonight because daddy’s drinkin’ and cursin’ again. Won’t you think of the children?

Ditto. I went on like a 6 mile run right after work because 5 o’clock until game time is always the worst.
Now, I’m just exhausted on top of the nauseousness and yet still jittery.
For some reason I’m picturing little penguins tumbing over the lip of Niagara Falls.
If that’s what it will take in the way of sacrifices, I’ll make the drive to the Syracuse zoo (where they have penguins) and out 2.5 hours to the falls and do it myself in time for the 3rd period.

Mission is simple tonight for the Wings:
Finish it.
Go Wings!!!

I dont know what an aneurysm feels like, but I sure as hell know what an ulcer feels like right now. They have to finish this off tonight. There would be no greater joy then to see them hoist the cup in Cindy’s home rink. One lap for Lidstrom, then on to Hossa. Leave it all out there tonight boys!!!!

Oh my gosh Gabe. That is so full of awesome. Head to toe in Wings gear and they even have a net backdrop. I’ll just pretend that ocean behind them is a frozen pond. lol.
So freaking cute! Thanks for sharing.

Awesome pic, Gabe. What a couple of cuties. What’s more, they appear to have a higher maturity level than Thid and Gena.
