That’s Lightfoot. And he brings us luck. He’s going nowhere.
That’s Jules. Not his real name. I made it up. He was at Game 1 last year. He left sad. He’s at the Joe again tonite. I know that because he emailed and told me he would be. Long drive back to Pittsburgh with your soul crushed. He knows the feeling.
That’s the frigging madhouse that the Joe was before Game 1 last year. I was there. Osrt, who is right now on his way to India, was there with me. He spent most of the game hitting on a beast from Pittsburgh.
Afterward?
A one-game lead that would soon be 2. Our Wings would head to Pittsburgh 120 minutes away from this…
A smart man has been saying this the last week or so, and it bears repeating right frigging now….“IT IS OUR CUP….AND WE’RE KEEPIN’ IT”
The Penguins can say they’re “better prepared” then they were last year. They can claim they understand what kind of intensity is required to win this thing. But I’m betting that there is a chill running through that room right now.
