And Tyler? Don’t scoff at Blind Faith. Ever.
If professional Wing bitch Marty Turco was in net tonite? He’d be phoning a friend, begging for lawyers, guns, money….anything to get him out of this.
It’s a Live Blog bitches. And the Wings are on fire. They’ve won six in a row. Well…five out of six, but I’m not counting the Toronto game because that just reminds me that Ron Wilson’s a better coach than my Uncle Mike and that makes me sad, sad, sad.

It’s still good, I think. We were currently on “they’re suppose to win”, then it changed back to “lose” because Turco isn’t in net, which means you flip it back to win again.

Somebody needs to update me on when Versus and DirecTV start playing nice again. I’m fuching done with Time Warner Cable. They’ve had two days to fix shit and have twice delayed my service call (now scheduled for 8 am on Saturday morning). For some stupid ass reason, my cable box on the upstairs TV works, so I get to watch the game on Gary’s Network in Standard def on my ten year old 19inch TV instead of a 58” plasma in high def.
I know, I know… I’m spoiled, and I’m sorry. But, you don’t get used to driving a BMW then happily switch to a Ford Festiva.
I’m half-seriously considering watching this game at my local Applebee’s because I know they get NHL Network. I just don’t think a family restaurant like that is the right place for me to be watching a hockey game with Mike Ribiero in it. I want to be able to go back at some point.

For the record, I drive a ten-year old Saturn with 175k miles on it that leaks oil. I’ll drive it into the damn ground to avoid another car payment. I don’t live in the lap of luxury, I drive a shitty car so Datsyuk’s dangles can be ten inches bigger on the TV I’m watching.

Sometimes I miss that little clown car.
I had mine for 8 years and 203,000 miles. It was a great little car. Much better than the Mercury Tracer that replaced it.

speaking of spoiled…I was hockey the other day and someone actually said ” I refuse to watch a hockey game if it’s not being broadcast in HD….The other day, for some reason, the wings weren’t in HD so i couldn’t watch the game”....I was just thinking to myself, wow good fan.

I saw a Yugo after it hit a moose. It looked like crumpled aluminum foil. Hilarious.
(The driver was shaken up, but uninjured. The moose was a bit banged up, but also lived through the experience.)

I hear you. The Volvo I wanted wasn’t available with a stick. Very few cars are available with a stick anymore. The EPA testing procedure discriminates against stick shifts; even though sticks get better mileage in the real world, they perform worse than the same car with an automatic in the EPA test.
I love the Volvo and don’t miss the stick, especially in SoCal’s infamous traffic. Besides, driving an automatic frees up a leg to steer with so I can talk on the cell phone and play with the nav system.
