Shane, Avs Talk
Wings fans, feel free to poke fun at the team we cheer for - it’s what you do in sports - but never question the loyalty of our true fan base.
Garcia had long hair and makeup and was wearing an Avalanche jersey, according to authorities.

so they claim to have a good sense of humour at mile high hockey, but one post praising Theodore, before Franzen’s goal mind you, was enough to get me banned.
at least people at A2Y can take a ribbing. you should be embarrassed Joe, as you had said we had a better sense of humour than those terrible Wild fans. apparently you have none at all.

Nice sound clips from Smyth there…

No Gabe, Jose is playing freaking Awesome. None of those goals were his fault—he standing on his head back there.

This Colorado team just seems defeated, as if they’re waiting for Floppa to show up and save their asses.
Posted by Steve from New Jersey on 04/26/08 at 03:25 PM ET
Drake’s spent all year blocking shots on net so you’ll have to forgive him when it comes to deflecting them towards the opponent’s goal.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 04/26/08 at 03:27 PM ET
Pour it on. Leave no doubt. None.

Is it violence time yet?
SCORE!
Dammit, and jusr when Jose was finding his groove, he’s really, really looked great today.
Srsly.

That’s what happens when you go to the net, Hank. None of that taking it behind the net stuff.

Can Theodore steal a game from the bench?
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/26/08 at 03:27 PM ET
I wonder what’s ailing Three or Four today? That’s the only explanation, right?
Posted by Dave on 04/26/08 at 03:28 PM ET
Go MAC!!!
Posted by Jennemy of the Skate from putting the b*tches in the box on 04/26/08 at 03:28 PM ET
back to the hotel for 3/4 to scream into his pillow and beat up his teddy bear…err….. recover from his sickness.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 04/26/08 at 03:28 PM ET
Three-or-Four must not be feeling well again.
Posted by O-Joe on 04/26/08 at 03:28 PM ET
Lock em up the rest of this period !
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 04/26/08 at 03:28 PM ET
look at Darren ducking punches! he can still throw down, no doubt about that.
Posted by PaulinMiamiBeach on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
Whew..Mac looked a little slow.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
red wings… chasing Dive goalies out of playoff games since 2002
Posted by VooX from Behind the Bar in the Hasek Club Car on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
Not a bad showing for Mac in his first fight back with the Wings.
Posted by Dave on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
Thats the way to keep the Wings intensity up dammit—
Rip the AV’s freaking heads off now—-
60 Minutes of pure ass-kicking!!!!
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
Man, Budaj is having a hell of a game.
Posted by Steve J from Columbia, MO on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
Wow, just like old times, Avs getting their asses kicked on the scoreboard and with the fists.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 04/26/08 at 03:29 PM ET
A draw, in my opinion. McCarty, in a league bereft of the great heavyweights of the past, could still throw down with most of them.
Posted by Steve from New Jersey on 04/26/08 at 03:30 PM ET
Just a tune up scrum for Eeeeeeen LePerrier…
It’s been a while, and I’m sure Mac was distracted by the majesty of Theodore, who played brilliantly.
Posted by TeamDub from The gratch. on 04/26/08 at 03:30 PM ET
Good fight! Av’s guy came down on top but I thought Mac landed more
Posted by scheisskopf on 04/26/08 at 03:30 PM ET
They need a quick goal on Budaj - crack that “wonderful” 20-save shell.
And don’t let the Avs take anything away from that fight.
Posted by Matt Saler from Grand Rapids, MI on 04/26/08 at 03:30 PM ET
God I wish I was WATCHING this game… Hopefully we’ll get to see Mac kick some ass a few more times this spring…
GO MAC!!!
Posted by mudshark from Divetown, Colorado on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
Budaj pitching another shut out since he’s been in.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
Gotta wonder how Babcock feels about that fight. Downey didn’t have a badly timed fight all year.
Posted by Ryan from Toronto on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
Last four playoff games, as of now, between Denver and Detroit: 20-3 in goals.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
If the Avs thought that sending someone out to fight with Mac would re-energize their team… sorry but they must have forgotten how much the crowd loves Mac and how pumped they would get to see Mac out there.
Posted by Jennemy of the Skate from putting the b*tches in the box on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
They have two players named Cody? Seriously, this Av team does not deserve this game.
Posted by Steve from New Jersey on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
BuVaj looks like a Vezina candidate thus far… scary stuff!
Posted by TeamDub from The gratch. on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
Alright. So Budaj was pretty solid last time, and the last thing we need is to go back to Colorado to face Forsberg and a hot goalie. The rest of this game needs to have Budaj seeing more rubber than…well, you get the idea.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
Power(less) Play is 2 for 2 tonite
How bout 3 for 3!!!!
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/26/08 at 03:31 PM ET
If Mcloud is gonna take runs at our defensemen, I’m a little relieved it’s Lebda.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 04/26/08 at 03:32 PM ET
Yeah, Canoe, I’m sure McCarty was thinking about giving McCormick a shot because he’s a young kid looking to make hisname in the league.

I hate to say it, but Wings have played great now for almost 1/2 the game:
Wonder IF they will go ahead and rip the jugular out?
Right now would be a great time to try that idea!
