Shane, Avs Talk
Wings fans, feel free to poke fun at the team we cheer for - it’s what you do in sports - but never question the loyalty of our true fan base.
Garcia had long hair and makeup and was wearing an Avalanche jersey, according to authorities.

Why would any self-respecting Wings fan give an iota what a Vagalanche blogger does or does not do? Tinkleflower fans aren’t worthy of your attention, let alone your angst when they act like, well, tinkleflowers.
F-them.

Older Than Chelios,
I have seen Negreanu at Griffins games, he sits in the upper armchair seats behind the goalie. We wondered why he was there and now we know…. Don’t be too hard on RWBill, he owns an “M” magnet ..... go Spartans!!

So did I miss anything?
Schnell bitches, Schnell!! Or, does anyone know what “skeet” means? ![]()
Or sorry Baroque; I know I’m disrespectful to ‘dem Hoes but I’m working on it.
That was a great effort by the Wings and everyone looked fairly solid, including ––gasp––Sammy and Hudler. You could see Babs has gained turst in Hudler, who made a beautiful pick pocket defensive play.
Chelios gave the puck up several times but he’s expecting a winger to be where he tosses it; gotta take a look though. He looked like he was hurrying unnecessarily, but he was a monster on the 5-3 kill.
Franzen: He may be one of the best power forwards in the NHL today. His second goal was just ridiculous. The first borrowed a page from Cleary and Z (good pass too Sammy), and the third was very Homer. The second goal though was all him.
Ozzie: Awesome! I wish so badly he go the shutout. He could just take out his athletic cup and put on Canoe’s face like a mask; “breathe it in MherFu;$r;...save you the time of kissing my ass.”
Dats: He didn’t play as well with the puck today, but I think he’s determined to make himself a presence, hence the hitting. I think he is banged up and may have realized that he won’t be able to pull moves too easily–––Georgums thinks he hurt his wrist after numerous Nashville slashes–––so he’s going to make room and trouble in other ways. You go boy!
Oh, by the way, you’re a genius Chief! I remembered and wrote my favorite Dandenault memory––scoring his first NHL goal against Roy in a game that ended Roy’s Montreal career––but didn’t realize that you were making a secret comment on JoeSay. Brilliant. And it worked!! 1st playoff hat trick for Franzen!
Also, I think Franzen got that hat from the hat trick bin… represent the $D$

McLeod shouldn’t have touched the octopus; the curse is upon him now! Currrrrrrssssse.

Awesomeness Paul!
And one more amazing piece of information, courtesy of the CBC: (http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hnicplayoff/2008/04/franzen_comes_through_for_detr.html)
Despite getting pulled for the second straight game, and having allowed eight goals on 36 shots so far in the series, Jose Theodore is likely to be the starter for Game 3, Quenneville indicated strongly.
“He’s the guy who got us here,” Quenneville said.
Yes, he’s part of the reason you’re down 2-0; time to be, you know, a coach.

Great, solid game by the Wings. It’s been a cold, snowy, and windy day here in the UP but watching Detroit play a full 60 minutes and dominate made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Franzen’s just freakin’ awesome.
I don’t know if MacLeod could be tossed for an action he took before the game. But if “matter” flies off an octopus when it’s twirled about one’s head, it must certainly also fly off when said octopus is shaken and then thrown. So it seems to me that the $10,000 fine is in order. Funny, though that we didn’t see any octopus-matter-cleaning staff out there afterward. Thanks, Gary. Ass.
I don’t have a daughter, but if I did nothing could make me more proud than to see her aspire to become an Edge Gel Girl. Christ. I’m stupider for having seen that commercial, too.

F-them indeed. Although I kind of like the TURTLE nickname to describe the Dive media/bloggers. They are:
1) Slow and stupid;
2) They only stick their necks out to say something stupid (and then hide before their head gets chopped off);
3) Once you put up a fight and get them on their backs, just like lady-boy Garcia, they are f**cked.

Avs have a clear advantage in scoring depth, overall depth and goaltending. Wings’ top two defensemen are better than the Avs’ top two, but the Avs are deeper on defense. Wings have a huge advantage behind the bench.
It’s not a matter of loving the Avs. It’s just reality. We’re loaded with talent, we just can’t seem to ever get anything done with it because of our coaching and lack of effort by the players.
This comment was made over at MHH when the Wings were up 4-0.

Thank, eddie. I hope the Avs players believe this, too, because if they do, they’re toast.

Well, then, couldn’t they do porn… or sell drugs… anything more respectable???

You know, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this series, and I think I’ve figured out why the Wings are losing 2-0. It’s because of their soft Europeans. I haven’t actually watched the games (or any Wings games all season), but I’m confident that Stuart and Rafalski have been the only two bright spots among the Wings top ten players.
I really hope Forsberg comes in for the next few games, because the Wings really need some soft European players on the Avs to, you know, balance things out. Right now, the series is just so one sided that it’s really a little embarassing.

That quote from MHH is disturbing; it’s so delusional that one loses faith in Democracy all together. Effin unwashed masses…
couldn’t they do porn
Damn…I knew something was familiar. I will investigate further and let you know my findings, published like all A2Y reports as a invisible excel sheet.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Well you know Baroque, I think so too.
I checked out the site after praise from Chief, and reading some decent blog posts… and his claim to come and have fun with us over here made me want to have some fun back.
