Every once in a while, at Game 2, a small but vocal band of Hawk fans made their presence felt. They were in one of those overhang deals, kind of a private box in the 202 section. They’d pick and choose their spots and yell it in unison.
“Detroit sucks.”
Idiots in the crowd got angry. They swore and pointed. A few drank some more and yelled more bad things at those people. The Hawk fans laughed and taunted the idiots.
But when Dan Cleary scored to give the Wings a 2-1 lead, something strange happened. Two entire sections, hundreds of people turned at once, peered up at the Hawk fan box and waved. All at once waving. It was awesome.
And I’ll tell you this, no matter how much you hate the Hawk fans…those guys handled it well. They laughed along with us and took it. And when Sammy pooped in a box to end it, those guys shook a few hands before they left. Pretty cool.
Tonite? It won’t even be close. Tonite? If you’re a Wing fan in Chicago you’re not safe and that’s just the way it is.
Because everyone knows what this game means. Wings win and this bitch is done. Over. Hawks? Not so much.
Half a dozen to a dozen.

Andrew, I can’t believe Milbury is saying things that somehow seem sympathetic to the Wings, but most of these guys want to see the integrity of the game maintained, which is directly opposed to Gary.Ass.

Helm has been awesome. His diving block at the end of the third prevented Ozzie from being handcuffed in close.

The bottom line is, Kronwall has gotten away with hits like this for far too long. It’s about time he faces some discipline for it, even if it’s only within this game tonight. Given how random the NHL’s supplemental discipline is, we can’t even speculate what Colin Campbell will do.
That line really gets to me. What the *#$%@& is that guy talking about. it wasnt a hit to the head. he didnt leave his feet. period. Its on video jack ass. He left his feet after the hit. Kronwall has gotten away with hits like this for far to long? What a joke.
