Go Home, Homer

Not that he’s all that disappointed in missing out on the tropical tail end of the west West Coast trip, but Tomas Holmstrom will be missing tonite’s game with Calgary and Monday’s againt Vancouver.

Khan(!)

Forward Tomas Holmstrom was sent home to have an MRI done on his ailing back, coach Mike Babcock said.

St. James

“We’re going to send him home so we can get an MRI tomorrow,” Babcock said. “So he won’t be on the trip.”

St. James, in her morning report, also pointed out that Tomas Kopecky is politicking a bit to get his second goal from the Edmonton game back where it belongs. Kopecky and a few others claim it grazed his uniform.  Pavel Datsyuk, who would stand to lose the goal if it goes to Kopecky, is highly upset.

“Holmstrom or Kopecky,” Datsyuk said, “they’re always, ‘I touch, I touch,’ both. I care not, my friend.”

St. James, of all the Diggers, seems to be the best at relaying Datsyuk’s sense of humor.

Me? I’m a little numb from the UM trouncing.  Jesus.  Just let football season end so we can all focus on what’s important.

Live Blog tonite?  Sure.  Although I’m stressing a bit.  Verizon promised. I’m serious, they promised me yesterday that the absence of the NHL Network in my home is their fault…and that they’d have it resolved by 2200 EST.  As of now? No resolution.

So, just in case, anybody with a good feed…post that biotch.

No poll today.  I wanted Triumph the other night and it didn’t happen.  So it’s out of your hands.  Sorry.

That UM game was gut-wrenching, and the MSU game is just as bad.
Too bad all the talent in Michigan is split between 2 teams.
UM could have won their game if they just had OSU’s 2nd string quarterback, Boeckman.
RR will do well if he can recruit.  It will take years.
Thank heavens we have the Red Wings!

On the brighter side, Bobby Geaser Lou is most likely out as he left in the 1st period last night against the Pens…. so no Kipper n Luongo back to back

The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

Thanks for the updates on the last game Gabe…..

Glad I could help!  And just paying back the favor from last year’s playoffs.

By the way, anyone looking to pass some time until gametime should tune into the Montreal/Boston game. I haven’t been paying attention to the Eastern Conference and was surprised by how good these teams are.

I was at my brother’s today. Younger than me but a Michigan Fan First. He took it all in stride but, after all he is a Michigan man first and foremost. He didn’t kill anything. Including me. And his loyalty to the Maze and Blue is amazing. That is what he lives for. Ritch Rod really needs to get the message about what Michigan Football is. Yes I do get that he had only one player coming back from last year. But there is the Michigan tradition. Up and above that I am a totally dedicated Detroit Red Wings Fan!  I feel for my little brother, but, Oh Well. Shit Happens. Bitches.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

As a Red Wings fan, I’m rooting for the Canadiens to lose 11-1 tonight.  You know, to properly honor Patrick Roy.
