Tardy start troopers. My sincerest apologies.
I’ve been dealing with the shame of daring to discuss Chris Osgood as a potential Hall of Famer.
My thoughts on that? Sure.
Hall of Fame? Yes. Up to the rafters with the legends? I’m not onboard. That’s nothing more than gut. When I consider #30 up there with 7, 9 and 19? I just don’t see it.
But how cool is this? What other franchise can make the claim that the Hall of Fame is a decent consolation prize?
Then again, should we get ten points in the next nine days and Osgood’s responsible for eight of ‘em? Hell. Raise that bitch up in New Year’s.
