I know Morrow got the goal, but it was the Stars fourth line that started all the pressure towards the end of that period. They’re the only line that’s had any energy so far this game; everyone else is just dead on their feet.
On Filppula’s goal, the entire play right from the face-off win to the goal was a thing of beauty. And did anyone else notice how happy Holmstrom was to finally get a deflection goal? He’s been fighting with Ryan Smythe for the reputation of best net-front presence in the league for a while, but now he’s terrified that Franzen will come out of nowhere and emerge as the undisputed king.
