I guess it goes without saying that should the Wings take a 2-0 lead? You can start thinking about the lame excuses you’ll use to get out of work for the parade. Pens win? Little Gary rejoices and we’ve got ourselves a series.

Incidentally, with Flip’s AWESOME move and subsequent goal, I think that’s scotched any chances of Pissburgh pulling Fleury in the last minute. So maybe no empty-netter.

As far as I’m concerned that punch by Roberts should be looked at by the league.
He knew it was Mule back from a head injury and wanted to take him out.

Agreed. Some fighting lessons, some rage enhancement over the summer, and he’ll be one of the most feared players in the League for years to come. As long as he’s one of the most feared players in OUR top six. Next year is his contract year, let’s hope we can get it done.
And yes, the punch SHOULD be looked at by the League—which is exactly why it won’t be.

Jennifer, I didn’t mean that to sound literal, but I have heard him say that 3 to 4 times tonight. I haven’t heard him say it about Pittsburgh at all though. Even after the punch to the head, all he had to say was “that wasnt an elbow” to Franzen as he pointed at his elbow.

I think a shift a minute ago summed up the first 2 games in this series. 2 Pens took runs at the Wings player(not sure who it was) in the defensive end corner, the Wing took both hits and still made the pass out of the zone.
