I guess it goes without saying that should the Wings take a 2-0 lead? You can start thinking about the lame excuses you’ll use to get out of work for the parade. Pens win? Little Gary rejoices and we’ve got ourselves a series.

Roberts hit should get a look by the league, but it won’t.
NHL is all gaga about the Pens. But that was one of the cheapest shots I can recall. Pathetic, and classless.
No fan of the NHL should approve of anything like that.

Chief, regarding your prediction, I think you got one thing wrong—with no points in these first two games, I think GBB’s Conn Smythe chances just went up in smoke. Of course, with the second straight shutout, Ozzie’s have rocketed…
But then, maybe we’re being too tough on Croz-Bee. After all, it’s not like any OTHER Pissburgh players have had any points on the board in this series either.
In any case, Ozzie with another Cup as a starter and possibly a Conn Smythe and maybe he finally gets the recognition he deserves…and eventually HOF membership.
Oh, and how sweet would it be to see none of the major deadline deals (Foote, Richards, Hossa, etc.) win the Cup, while the savvy trade (Stuart) does? Nice.

GRIALB—Gary Roberts Is A Little Bitch.
ASIMT—And So Is Maxime Talbot.
Stuart had the best game I’ve seen him play, especially in the first half. He was tremendous. Datsyuk was the other standout for me. If he spoke English just a little more comfortably, I think he’d probably be the frontrunner as captain after Lidstrom.
Penalty kill looked weak, and power play too, although they weren’t even trying half the time.

OK, so Osgood is the 4th goalie in history to start the Stanley Cup Finals with two shutouts. 2nd goalie in history to start his career 6-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals.

TSN reported before the game that someone set off the fire alarm at the Penguin’s Hotel in Detroit at 1:30am last night. They had to evacuate their rooms.
Also, after they returned back to their rooms and went back to bed, someone phoned their rooms and woke them up again to tell them that there was no fire and that everything was ok and they could go back to bed.
They even had video of the team standing around in the hotel lobby waiting to go back to their rooms late last night. I thought that was pretty funny
