Here Come The Banker, The Lawyer And The Cop…All Looking For A Game 2 Live Blog

I guess it goes without saying that should the Wings take a 2-0 lead?  You can start thinking about the lame excuses you’ll use to get out of work for the parade.  Pens win?  Little Gary rejoices and we’ve got ourselves a series.

Reminder:  Predict the game’s first scorer in the comments.  First one to get it right gets a program from Game 1.

Name the song without looking it up and you get...well, nothing really.  But you’ll be cool.

Cherry is pissed that no one went after Roberts. I, gasp, agree completely!

I’m sorry, but I’m also annoyed with Ozzie ‘embellishing’ things. I leave it at that.

Anybody know what the breakdown was on the penalties at the end of the game?

wtf is wrong with Versus’ math?

they show Osgood as 2-0, with a .50 GAA and .979 save percentage.

except he didn’t let in a goal in those two games.  so how is it not .00 GAA and 1.00 save percentage?

Well, night all.  See you Wednesday for liveblogging the Melons (Mellons).  I look forward to several Pens being suspended, which of course means none of them will be.

Sleep the sleep of the innocent and guiltless, guys.

Fisch for #2?

Yeah, I was thinking Fetisov as a little throwback...but Fisch makes good sense, too.

Buzz, is that on CBC? Because VS isn’t showing it.

Therrien said that Osgood “dives all the time”, and also that we “get away with a lot of obstruction that doesn’t get called”.

Those of us watching VS wouldn’t know...because it’s more postulating by the guys at the desk.  No reason to actually cover anything that’s happening at the rink besides the former (i.e., fired) coaches in 227C....

Actually VS blacked out for the last 5 minutes for me. Thankfully after the game ended though.

Did Michel comment on the multiple head-shots to Franzenstein?  Just wondering.

Nope, he mainly just commented on how they “aren’t getting the calls” and what not.  It was extremely biased and seemed rather, well....unprofessional.  He was clearly VERY upset and frustrated.

Lately, I’m starting to agree on the Ozy dive thing. Sitll not as bad as Dom, but c’mon, you’ve got more class than that.

Thanks for the Game chatter folks. Catch ya next time.

Yeah, he definitely embellishes.  But, honestly, it rarely pays off for Osgood.  Plus, they have a fantastic diver in Crosby.

Two games down, two more to go.  My mother, who never says the words “Shut up.” actually yelled that at Therrien when he was whining to the refs with 7 minutes to go in the third period. If he is going to whine about the officiating in the press conference, look for the calls to be a lot different in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.  I really did not like how Pitt was going after Franzen’s head.  I was thinking before the series that I didn’t really have the hate on for the Pens.  Well, now I have some big hate.  Ryan Malone is a tool.

HAHAHAHA!  Therrien talking about dirty play?  The SAME Therrien who was fined by the NHL for threatening to send in the goons in the Boston series in 2002?  The same punk bitch Therrien who can’t coach and was run out of Montreal for being a punk bitch who can’t coach?  Please.  What a tool.  It’s quite obvious that Punk Bitch sent his boys out there to purposefully target Franzen’s head.  How much more blatant can it be?  It’s about phucking time the zebra;s started to call the runs on Osgood too.  Granted he probably made it seem worse than it was but goddamn!

Those were his “player of the week” numbers, which included the last Dallas game.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome:
