...you put the Duck’s head on a block of wood. Hold it down and flick the beak for a few minutes, just to torture it. Do Ducks even have beaks? Is that how “beak” is spelled?
Then you chop it off. The whole thing. The head and the beak, beek.
This game is very important. The most important regular season game of the month so far.
So I thought we’d drink a little, and have ourselves a Live Blog.

It’s kinda terrifying.
What if fatigue is a big factor? I know they’re athletes in top physical condition, but at the same time I don’t know just how hard on their bodies the last year has been. And, hypothetically speaking, if we win the Cup again this year, imagine the hangover in 09-10…
Hockey is insane.
Oh well…let’s focus on here and now. And by focus I mean stress.

Forgot the Ducks played last night. They’re going to come out of the gate firing. If we can stay calm for the first 10-15 minutes, we should be fine this game.

The only teams who shouldn’t trap against us are th teams who think they have equal talent. There are only two of those: San Jose and Anaheim. Oh, and Pittsburgh but they’re stupid.

I’m not doubting that Kopecky is working his ass off, but the kid really needs to start receiving passes. He just seems like he’s always a step behind the rest of his teammates on the ice.

I can’t remember a time when I’ve seen a Draper slapshot off the rush that didn’t go straight into the crest. No glove saves, blocker saves, nada. Just Draper flying, the goalie cutting down the angle and rubber into the chest. A thousand times again and again and again.

I don’t think Draper has any problem hitting the net. Or, more accurately, he has no problem at all hitting the goaltender.
