...you put the Duck’s head on a block of wood. Hold it down and flick the beak for a few minutes, just to torture it. Do Ducks even have beaks? Is that how “beak” is spelled?
Then you chop it off. The whole thing. The head and the beak, beek.
This game is very important. The most important regular season game of the month so far.
So I thought we’d drink a little, and have ourselves a Live Blog.

Ha, nice Gabe.
Hell of a spin move by Dats after getting that pass. Just a bit too wide.

I was kinda hoping for more than one goal in the third. But I guess they want to make it exciting again.

Would anyone else like to sign my petition that says Ozzie may no longer handle the puck behind the net? He gets himself into more trouble than any other goalie in the league.

Can’t get away with dangerous passes into the middle of the ice high in our own zone… Straighten that up, fellas.

I hear Hiller and I think of John hiller.
Which makes me think of Steve Kemp.

Can’t help it. He crushed Selanne, which made me all warm and fuzzy.

Mick: “If Detroit is sound defensively, they should be able to put this one to bed.”
Uh huh.

Put four defensemen on the ice and either Zetterberg or Datsyuk as the lone forward for the next 90 seconds.

What if 2 of those D-men are Lebda and Lilja? *shudder*
I’d rather stick with some grinders who just play D.

What was that?
Oh.
Sixty minutes of Red Wing hockey. Bitches.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 12/01/08 at 10:00 PM ET
Wo dominated, DOMINATED that game and come away with a one-goal victory. You know what? I don’t care; I’m going to sleep well after that performance.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 12/01/08 at 10:01 PM ET
Have they put together a better 60 minutes this year? I think not. Great game.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 12/01/08 at 10:02 PM ET
Well 60 minutes of freaking hockey. Nice.
Posted by ITDeuce from The Land of Ice and Snow on 12/01/08 at 10:02 PM ET
Good game, now if they can just be consistent, I will quiet down.
Posted by HockeyTownTodd on 12/01/08 at 10:05 PM ET
I would have felt better with 60 minutes with a 3 goal lead at the end. . . . I mean. . . yeah.
Posted by halomasterd4n on 12/01/08 at 10:19 PM ET
Maybe not as good as the shutout against Edmonton, but a pretty damn good game either way.
Posted by Tyler from Arizona on 12/01/08 at 10:51 PM ET
“We have a quality, quality leadership group here,’’ Babcock said. “When I asked them today about (who is) the hardest-working team in the league, if they don’t believe they are, they’ll get that fixed.’‘
Sounds like the placeholder did his job. Great win.

I think they figured out earlier in the year their usual cross-ice passes were now getting picked off so they had to stop doing that. problem is, they don’t seem to know what else to do with it after a few years of getting away with the cross-icers.

Dan Cleary was a beast last night.
He was the fastest guy on the ice, always on the puck, and made some great passes, including the game winner assist to Hossa.
Welcome back, Danny Boy!

AHHH! Finally, 60 minutes of good hockey! Thank you!

Dan Cleary was a beast last night.
Ken and Mick did not give Cleary enough credit for that pass
to Hoss, perfect for the one timer.
