Hey 19…Win Something

Update:  since the winner of the HHOF passes will most likely be determined tonight, I’m leaving this up top for the day.  Any new posts will be below this one.

Here’s what’s on the line:  two tickets to the Legends game in Toronto on November 8th, the weekend of The Captain’s Induction.  And two free passes to the Hockey Hall of Fame on any date you frigging choose.

Here’s what you have to do to win…

....for the Legends game, tell me which player will score the Wings’ 19th goal of the season.  They’ve scored 9 so far.

Tie breaker: Who will have the primary assist.  Next tie break: who will have the secondary assist.  Next tie break: name the other players on the ice when the goal is scored (excluding the goalie).

For the HHOF passes:  The Wings have taken 16 penalties.  Name the player who will take the 19th.  Tie break: what kind of penalty will it be.  Next tie break: how many penalties will the Wings take Saturday.  Last tie break: guess the score when I “fell asleep” during the Wings/Hawks game on Thursday night.

Put your answers in the comments.  Copy cats lose.

Oh, and you gotta be a KK member to play.  If you’re not?  Sign up.

More information on the Legends Game and the HOF weekend is here.

Oh, almost forgot…name the longest-serving captain in NHL history? You win a Nobel Peace Prize.

Couldn’t resist.

I can’t enter for the first prize because I have to work, but I want those passes.

I’m going with Franzen for hooking, 5 penalties total.  You fell asleep when the score was tied 1-1.

What the hell. I’m not gonna win anyway. I’ll go with the man, the maniac, the destroyer of worlds, The Bertuzzi. Assists to Cleary and Kronner. Stuart and Z on the Ice.

Bertuzzi will also take that penalty for crushing a man’s skull while eating a baby. Or high sticking. Whichever.  And we’ll go with 6 penalties on Saturday.

And I’m guessing you were dozing on and off last nite before anyone scored.

Niklas Kronwall from Zetterberg and Stu.

Holmstrom for goaltender interference (guilty or not) and they take 4 on Saturday.

Nobel Peace Prize…who wants one of those?  Worthless piece of lip-service.

However…

I’ve got Bert from Z & Lidstrom, Rafalski & Buckets on the ice, on a PP.

Penalty to Bertuzzi for holding—yep, he’ll be a busy guy on Sunday.  Six total penalties.  And the score was 1-1 when you fell asleep.

If I win, I’m going to have to book an expensive flight and maybe accomodation, so I’m not taking this too seriously and racking my brains for something that might actually happen.

Dan Cleary will take the 19th penalty for hooking.  The Wings will take five penalties on Saturday.

I wish I could win the prize but there’s no way I could be in Toronto then. So I’ll wish lots of luck to the rest of the 19.

But I will say, I’m pretty sure the Chief was passed out in the street before the game even started (occasionally awakening to check the score, down another and pass out again).

Pavel Datsyuk is going to score #19. Assists from Franzen and Lidstrom.  Other players: Holmstrom and Rafalski.

I’m guessing Filppula goes for a high stick. I’m guessing 5 penalties on Saturday.

The last one’s a trick question.  I’m betting you were “asleep” before puck drop thanks to some pre-game beveraging (yes, that’s a word now).

19th goal, Kronwall from Z and Buckets.  Stuart and the Mule on the ice as well.

Stuart’s also good for the 19th penalty of the year - some BS interference call.  Total of 5 penalties on Saturday.

Try #2:

Chris Osgood unassisted (short handed) Zetterberg, Lidstrom, and Stuart on the ice (yeah a 5-on-3 with the goalie scoring)

Man this place just keeps getting better and better, and I thought “Ready, Set, Vomit” was hard to top.

I’ll have to read the rules again and try to enter for the Nobel Peace Prize, after all I’ve blogged on here for more than 13 days (not political Jen, just noting the absurdity as AAA pointed out).

MOs got the same impression of Old Town (Gamla Stan) that I do.  You Bastard MO how is it we took pictures of the same things at the same times of the day and did NOT run into each other?  Great places to eat and drink beer and coffee.  Bring money.

I will put up a few pics but don’t want to trash Chief’s site any more than I already do.
Well, here’s one, as long as we’re putting up pictures of food.  Cod, rice, unbelievable rolls and breads, coffee with the specific gravity of mercury.

I wondered, is that a sprig of alien public hair over the rice?  Saw it several times.

If anyone would like tickets to the Leafs-Wings game that weekend, which will feature the HHOF inductees in a ceremony, let me know.  You can’t have my seats, but I do know a reliable scalper who can help you out.

Leafs tickets are never cheap, especially from the scalps.  Even preseason games were $95 for my seats in the upper bowl.  I paid less for every post-season round at JLA in 2008 (except the finals), so the Leafs can suck it, but we don’t want to give up our seats.  They are impossible to get game by game, let alone getting season seats.

This is going to break up the chemistry of that third line of Willy-Wally-J Will that I really liked so far.  Hopefully Helm can slot in to it without too much interruption as Flip takes Franzen’s place.  The only question left is whether Eaves or May will get the majority of the time on the fourth line.
