Note: If you’re DVR’ing this game to watch later? Let me save you some time. Delete that bitch RFN.
We’ve got a spastic kid finally playing, a sociopath on the top line, two grinders sitting and a bunch of Wing fans talking about shaving their frigging heads for like six hours this afternoon.
There ain’t no use in crying, which leaves only one recourse when our Tuesday total drops to 32.
Good god. Let’s Live Blog.

That should help to slow them down through the neutral zone.

Friggin Rafalski nearly snaps both ankles on that icing. Another heart attack averted.

Fil needs to leave the dangling to dangle.

Woah. Lids looking like Pavel handling in the corner.

nice keep away between TPH and Pasha

Glad we finally woke up there, looking good.

Definitely looked better second half of that period.

After a ridiculously slow friggin start, the Wings finally started to skate.
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 10/13/09 at 06:43 PM ET
So did that go off of Fil’s arse? Orst would approve.
Posted by mrfluffy from Long Beach on 10/13/09 at 06:44 PM ET
Is that Matt Ellis former Wing on the Sabers?

Nothing quite that exciting. Just a good solid stick on the ice deflection.
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 10/13/09 at 06:46 PM ET
Slow start, but good finish to the period. Would like to see Bert turn up the nastiness a bit. I think I’d even forgive an offensive zone net-front cross check if it gets his head into the game.
Flip looked good.
Anybody else get a little happy when Big Rig skated it across the Buffalo blue line? I mean, he almost immediately lost the puck, but our defensemen don’t really do that anymore.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 10/13/09 at 06:46 PM ET
Nice to see Engblom gave up on that piss poor attempt of going clean cut with the hair last year.

Ol Big Rig is a converted forward…I’m sure he’s used to doing that with a much shorter hockeystick…hence the mishandle.

Jeebus I am just remembering how much I actually hate that dufus “sideline reporter” for Versass and it makes me angry.

Now if someone would let me know how to shut up Pens fans.

Late to the party and ignoring all posts under this just to say:
“Pay them for the pizza.”
Posted by HockeyJoe from Upstate New York on 10/13/09 at 06:50 PM ET
Withstood the first 10 minutes and only one goal down, amazingly. Feels somewhat lucky to be tied after that start, but we looked dangerous the last 6 or 8 minutes.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 10/13/09 at 06:50 PM ET
So when’s the last time we saw a NON-Detroit area NHL commercial that showed any favor to Detroit…looks like all we get this year is Malkin running into Helm.
Posted by Animal Drew from A Nightmare on Helm Street on 10/13/09 at 06:52 PM ET
They should show a clip of Malkin’s “hissy fit” on Zetterberg that would be a much better representation of those @$$holes.

I just passed out for a second and when I regained consciousness, I’m pretty sure the first thing that popped into my memory was Keith Jones saying Heatley would score 70.
*thump*
shit, there it goes again.

That’s about as stupid as anything John Kruk has ever said on ESPN for baseball. Jesus. The western conference is the defensive one and that division is going to be a pain in the balls for the Sharks.
