Note: If you’re DVR’ing this game to watch later? Let me save you some time. Delete that bitch RFN.
We’ve got a spastic kid finally playing, a sociopath on the top line, two grinders sitting and a bunch of Wing fans talking about shaving their frigging heads for like six hours this afternoon.
There ain’t no use in crying, which leaves only one recourse when our Tuesday total drops to 32.
Good god. Let’s Live Blog.

I think I know what’s wrong here. The Chief is still awake.
F’ing gamewrecker.

I just realized something. It’s a lot easier to score when you’re right in front of the goalie. Someone pass that on to Babcock so he can tell the defense to keep people out.
Posted by DetroitHockey on 10/13/09 at 07:24 PM ET
They have to pull him. It doesn’t matter if it’s his fault or not.

BDSM, 5-1, FMAO.

FFS, Wings.
Not able to watch right now. Is it as bad as it looks?
Posted by Bio on 10/13/09 at 07:25 PM ET
Pressure pressure pressure steal the puck and outnumber the goalie. impressive.

All I can do now is laugh. We’re getting owned.
what else is there? Uhhh… the refs aren’t calling the chintzy shit tonight. That’s a positive for us, since I think we’ve gotten away with more than they have so far.

Maybe they have jet lag?
Posted by stonehands-78 from the beginning ... a WingsFan, on 10/13/09 at 07:26 PM ET
WOW WTF is going on with the Wings !!!
Posted by Evilpens on 10/13/09 at 07:26 PM ET
They can’t sustain ANY pressure in the Slug zone. Did they forget to get on the damned DC-9 this morning or what?
Posted by mrfluffy from Long Beach on 10/13/09 at 07:26 PM ET
Glad it’s hunting season, I won’t exactly be missing much when I don’t see a game or 20.
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/13/09 at 07:27 PM ET
I never thought I’d see the day when I would ask this but here goes;
How is Andreas Lilja feeling these days. Has anyone heard how close he is to rejoining the club? At this point last season he looked like a top 4 d-man. Can we get that Andreas Lilja back and send Meech to anyone who will give us a bag of pucks and a pile of broken sticks for him?
Cheers

Bartender, I like me some vodka and red bull. Don’t bother with glasses. Mix it up a gallon at a time. Cut me off when I think the Wings are winning.
Posted by monkey from here to Timbuktu on 10/13/09 at 07:27 PM ET
We’re coughing up pucks like methheads cough up teeth.
Just abysmal.

It might be helpful if a line other than Filppula’s could score…Hank, Dangle Dangle???

Well…at least Vanek’s hurt.

Can we pull some D-men and sub with Drapes and / or Malts?
Posted by stonehands-78 from the beginning ... a WingsFan, on 10/13/09 at 07:28 PM ET
At least this happened on the road.
If any DET fan paid money to see this crappy-ass fuching playing, Geez.
Terrible Ted would have kicked all the Wings’ asses for this pathetic performance.

It’s so much worse watching than what you could imagine. Buffalo is fast, everywhere, Detroit is happy anytime they can even clear the puck, which is only temporary. Pressure on the puck immediately, transition with incredible speed.

I hope so because I have been waiting all year for it.
Posted by Bingo Bango Jessie on 10/13/09 at 07:30 PM ET
I’m just glad Buffalo’s defense isn’t as good as Calgary’s vaunted corps.

Alright, I’m out bitches. I’ll watch the rest of this one later. Season finale of Hell’s Bitches (Kitchen) has been building a buffer in my PVR to get around a lot of commercial breaks.
Posted by VooX from Behind the Bar in the Hasek Club Car on 10/13/09 at 07:30 PM ET
I blame Versus, they always air ridiculous games.
Posted by J.J. from Kansas on 10/13/09 at 07:31 PM ET
This is inexcusable.

Another positive…Jimmah closed the 5-hole.
Posted by Animal Drew from A Nightmare on Helm Street on 10/13/09 at 07:32 PM ET
I didn’t even turn off either of the 8 goal games last year on Saturday night, and I probably won’t tonight because Buffalo is playing absolutely epic. Will be interesting to watch them another day and see if they are playing with the same speed and relentless intensity or if they’re just up tonight. What will they look like going into Philly the night after they were in Pittsburgh?
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 10/13/09 at 07:32 PM ET
Way to go Babs, just a little tweak with a winning line-up.

RWBill’s O/U of 9 may just be accurate.
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 10/13/09 at 07:32 PM ET
I would have pulled Ozzie after the third goal. He didn’t have much help but he let in 3 softies.
Our work is cut out for us now. Remember Chicago-Calgary last night.Bitches.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
