I Went To Church Incognito. Why? For The Live Blog.

Oh yes he did. The Chief whipped out a Vincent Furnier lyric for a live blog. That, in itself, should indicate just how important I (back to the first person, thanks) feel tonite’s game is.
Why is it important?
Because I have to invent reasons to stay up for the late, late games.
Don’t know Vince? Oh alright. Alice Cooper. And he’s from Hockeytown bitches.
It’s a Live Blog and your objectivity, tact and mild manners are more than welcome.
A couple of insider notes from Mike Chen at Battle of California:
-Joe Thornton’s groin injury seems more obvious with each game. He simply doesn’t use his legs or lower body to protect the puck the way that he normally does, and assuming he didn’t just revert into a craptacular player over the off-season, I’m assuming this is the lingering effects of his injury.
-For all you King fans…um…well, I see what you were complaining about with Rob Blake.

Down 5-12 on shots, 6-11 on faceoffs…ouch
Posted by cephalopod from Chicago...nope, still not over it. on 10/30/08 at 10:27 PM ET
My sis is blonde with a red Zatta hat on.. just sayin.
Isn’t this the time RWBill usually chimes in?

Patrick Kane just reminded me the Hawks didn’t make the playoffs last year. That just makes me warm.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 10/30/08 at 10:29 PM ET
We are lucky to still be in this game! we are not playing that bad it’s just the Sharks are playing that good! Dishing it out to us like we usually do to the opponent!

Been to Ireland twice…. beer n whiskey without the window dressing here…
I was waiting for that Chief. He’s been quiet lately
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:30 PM ET
Well, an NASN ad showcasing the Wings…about freakin’ time.
And apparently not only have they outshot us, they’ve dominated in the faceoff circle and in the physicality department (well duh) as well. Regroup and pull it together, or this is going to be a long game…

Did plenty of that too, MO. Just got made the hot toddies…
HOSSA!

Hossome bitches.
SIGN HIM KENNY. TICK TOCK BITCH.

Maybe Hoss’s performance is making Z seem more lonely than I’m really seeing?
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:33 PM ET
Right in the first minute, too. Maybe we really should find a way to keep the band together.
...As I was sayin’. Got made hot toddies by kindly old ladies when I was ill, and I was feeling under the weather last night, so fixed myself one before toddling off to bed.
Despite fhe flow of play, we have a one-goal lead. Nice.
And Lilja plays Grier well! Good signs.
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from Fortress Europe on 10/30/08 at 10:33 PM ET
Wow ! Bitches, what I’ve been saying 3 times this week, Hossa has a vicious hard quick release wrister. This guy makes something from nothing. We cannot let this guy go.

Yeah, I’m sold. Hossa is a higher priority than Franzen.

RWBill: read comments above until you find something interesting. I’m betting it won’t take long.

Hoss must stay. All “costs”. Just do it as early as he’ll agree to terms.
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:35 PM ET
And Lukowich is out. Nice hit Drapes.
Wow. Who snatched the Blues in Wings uniforms from the first period and replaced them with the REAL Red Wings?
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from Fortress Europe on 10/30/08 at 10:36 PM ET
Yeah, I’m sold. Hossa is a higher priority than Franzen.
Alright…let’s play GM for a sec. Take your pick…Hossa & Franzen, or Zetterberg?
Our priority is Z. Everything else is gravy.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 10/30/08 at 10:36 PM ET
She’s got fake boobs too RWBill. Not huge… but just sayin
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:37 PM ET
Kopy is bangin again tonite. I think he likes the Grifs line.
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 10/30/08 at 10:38 PM ET
Mo…you’re a cruel man.
My priorities? Zetterberg and Hossa.
Posted by IwoCPO from Sunny San Diego, bitches on 10/30/08 at 10:38 PM ET
No I won’t post a pic either
Don’t blame you. Most of my buddies - guys I grew up with - wouldn’t agree to travel more than 2 hours for my wedding unless they had a guarantee that my sister was going to be in attendance.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 10/30/08 at 10:38 PM ET
someone has had a talk with Kopecky because he has really has improved and woke up with his physical game.

What? But they’re so perfect for her! Ohhh, now I get it.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 10/30/08 at 10:39 PM ET
Nate, I’m starting to lean that way too…scary. I can’t help but think maybe we’ve made Franzen look good. Even better, I think Hossa would be far easier to re-sign than The Mule.
And speaking of re-signings, Pistons extended Maxiell for four years…I’m not sure that was such a good idea.
First Led Zep, now AC/DC…who kidnapped the DJ at the Shark Tank and replaced him with someone with good taste?
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from Fortress Europe on 10/30/08 at 10:39 PM ET
First Led Zep, now AC/DC
Kings came out to “Hell’s Bells” at Staples on Monday to start the second. Pretty cool.

Bitches, you know me too well. After the kids are in bed and the midnight hour creeps around like the naked guy under a trenchcoat, here I come to the A2Y on queue.
Posted by RWBill from the Land of 12 in 12. on 10/30/08 at 10:41 PM ET
MO, there’s something distinctly unhealthy about you talking about your own sister’s large breasts. Was that strictly necessary?
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from Fortress Europe on 10/30/08 at 10:41 PM ET
Gabe, like she’s cute fairly independant etc… loves the Wings, knows football… but has a nard time finding a man in San Fran… go figure?
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:41 PM ET
When Hossa gets us a ring he will fulfill expectations!
Posted by hankyspanky40 from Michigan on 10/30/08 at 10:42 PM ET
Okay, maybe we had no chance to defend against that…,yuck.
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor from Fortress Europe on 10/30/08 at 10:43 PM ET
Wings averaging 7 power plays against?? Yeeesh.
Here’s another nugget…Holmstrom: 0 PIM
Posted by cephalopod from Chicago...nope, still not over it. on 10/30/08 at 10:44 PM ET
Boyle pinches in a lot. We need to take advantage of that.

Grind line visible or transparent….. a glimpse? Please?
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 10/30/08 at 10:45 PM ET
All the good will generated by ACDC and Zep just got eliminated. Jonas Brothers at the Shark Tank. You’ll be reading about that in the future. I promise.

MO, sometimes I’d give my left arm for a good cold glass of fresh Michigan cider and hot doughnuts from the mill in Dexter, but I’d never really heard of a hot toddy until I lived in Ireland. There it’s camomile tea, cloves, lemon juice, honey, and whiskey. Different ingredients, same concept.
