Big game tonight.

Bad news like this makes the game seem so insignificant. Sincere condolences to all at Ft. Hood.

Yeah, Linda’s, time to forget the differences and hope for the best.
But you’re still a douche.
In unrelated news, great song choice, it’ll play in my wedding.

If we can somehow trick the Farks into thinking its the playoffs they will immediately implode and we should be fine

Hopefully, Al Sobotka thought of this and hung a May 2010 calendar in the visitor’s locker room.

Sad, sad day in Ft Knox.
Very depressing news.
Professional sports is so insignificant
when forced to ponder mortality.
Entire families, and their survivors….
Broken forever…...

Exactly. 19 family members gather for a three hour get together and you hope for a maximum of four arguments? Are you on drugs?
Posted by CaptainDennisPolonich from Warm and sunny SoCal on 11/05/09 at 06:46 PM ET
My god….. i didn’t hear about that until just now. My thoughts and prayers definitely go out to the families on Ft. Hood. What a horrible tragedy. I’m just stunned.
I’m curious to see if Todd will bring a heavy forcheck against the wings tonight. The Calgary game was the only game this year with a heavy opposing forcheck that the wings responded well to and had an answer for. The last game was good but Boston seemed back on their heels and tried to force the play over the blue line instead of a heavy dump and chase, which is out of character for their team. I guess i just want to see if the wings are truly committed to playing as a tight five man unit instead of breakouts with 60 foot passes(which you never saw in 07-08). Anyway too much rambling…
Lets go Wings

When I read earlier stories, there were only 7 dead and there were 2 shooters. Now there are 12 dead and I do not see any reference at all to a 2nd shooter. The guy was a psychiatrist. A freaking medical doctor. Unfuchingly believeable. And a Muslim.

Heavy hearted Evenin’ Bitches.
This will be one escape we have from the unimaginable horror of the families whose soldier husbands and wives were gunned down today preparing to deploy for war zones overseas. I was at Ft Hood for 2 weeks as a cadet. I won’t tell you when as it would reveal my age, but stress and AWOL were a problem then. More than 500 soldiers from Ft. Hood have been KIA in Iraq and Afghanistan.
My thoughts will be with you folks there in Ft Hood and Killeen and Copperas Cove but I am going to take the coward’s way out and watch my hockey team as if nothing has happened.

Doesn’t he always? Every night it’s “The Wings didn’t do this, the Wings didn’t do that.” I swear I won’t be surprised when he starts checking their gig lines.

I don’t really know, but it might have been a blend of back checking, Babcock, and peyote.

As I walk the halls of the VA medical center here in Baltimore, I always wish there were more that I could do to help those veterans. Knowing that there will be ten less veterans weighs heavily on my heart.
One thing is clear. Those who have served are better than the rest of us.
