It’s been a while since I brought you the literary brilliance of one Teddy Toolbag Montgomery. Today, I must. It takes a gutsy part-time community college teacher/part-time hockey genius to make this kind of observation.
It seems clear now that there is far more interest in a series which features two teams that have obvious star attractions in cities where hockey is quite a bit more than just a curio for the locals to ponder.
Brilliant.

well, it looks like the Penguins have some major issues to deal with before they can even think of a shot at returning to the finals.
their obvious UFA and RFA issues are now compounded by the realization that at least a few of the players (Orpik included) don’t want to play for Therrien.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. My followup to this is:
Thank heavens the pens stayed in Pittsburgh, a great hockey town.
They were nearly lost a couple years ago.
That would have been tragedy for their loyal fans.
