It’s this kind of reporting that keeps Ansar ahead of his peers.

A couple of readers pointed out that the boy on stage next to Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom last night at the Awards Show had on a jersey that read “LINDSTROM.’’ Each award winner was accompanied on stage by a kid wearing his jersey. What was that Henrik Zetterberg was saying about Lidstrom not getting enough credit in Sweden?

A “couple of readers” pointed it out.  Odd.  A “couple of readers” here saw it the minute it happened.  Did you, you know, watch the awards Ansar?

It’s worse when you see poor souls at the Joe with their circa-1992 Lindstrom and Federov jerseys.

I’m a little shocked the camera didn’t catch the guy in the Wings jersey G-Bett had strategically placed just to that kid’s left.

What kind of a last name is ‘*#$%@&’, anyway?  Russian?

it’s really an understandable mistake by the league.  I mean, it’s not like Lidstrom had won 5 Norris Trophies, four Stanley Cups, multiple President’s Trophies, multiple Campbell Bowls, led the league in scoring and +/- for a defenseman, and is the captain of the best team in hockey.  nobody knows who he is...why would they spell his name correctly?
