Sevumar, did I hear that he’s got a broken nose?
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/20/08 at 03:55 PM ET
Semuvar, I didn’t, but I have noticed that he’s had tissues plugging his nose for the last forty minutes. Is he a hemophiliac or just a really big pussy?
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor on 04/20/08 at 03:55 PM ET

How many of you heard Doc mention Matt Millen’s name and instinctively got a razorblade out.
And once again folks, E-m-r-i-c-k. Emrick.

Sevumar, did I hear that he’s got a broken nose?
the NBCidiot said it…but I don’t put much faith in them.
TeamDub, why you gotta bring Stephen into it? that’s not right.

THAT’S A GOAL! the in-net cam shows it cleary!
You can’t get a goal by pushing the goalie and puck across the line. So even if the puck went across before the net came off, it went across as a result of Ellis being pushed in so i don’t think it would have counted anyway.
Posted by wingsfanindenver on 04/20/08 at 03:57 PM ET
I’m not listening real closely to NBC’s audio, so I haven’t heard anything about a broken nose. I can’t say I feel sorry for the little punk, though.
And yeah, I vote for he’s a little pussy.
Posted by Sevumar from Orange County, CA on 04/20/08 at 03:58 PM ET
whee. please help me.
Funny, that’s the exact thought going through my head as I’m watching this game.
Not only a prognosticator, but a telepath as well, eh Dub?

absolutely you can. absolutely.

wingsfanindenver: thats true, unless you happen to be Dominik Hasek and your are playing the ducks in the WCF.

Would be nice to have a good third period for Detroit. I still have to review a presentation for Tuesday.
I was told that all I had to do was wear something low-cut and talk in a sexy voice, but that’s not very professional - and I’d like to think I’m more than just a quick smile and decent cleavage.

T-Dud, nice padded room…we should do that in one of the cars on the Stress Train

Good God, 2nd period shots were 21-4

Just. Don’t. Even. Go. There. Not. Again.
Although I have a fresh jar of hot fudge sauce, so I’m ready!

How is the radio coverage 19 seconds behind the tv coverage?
That doesn’t happen with HD radio.
Posted by O-Joe on 04/20/08 at 04:03 PM ET
Agreed Baroque… I’d much rather see quick cleavage and a decent smile…
Posted by Mike from La-La Land on 04/20/08 at 04:05 PM ET
Baroque:
and I’d like to think I’m more than just a quick smile and decent cleavage.
I enjoy your outstanding wit—but there certainly is nothing wrong with “decent cleavage”
NSH gotta be felling the pressure now if they weren’t before—
How many shots has Erat passed up today?

quick smile+decent cleavage+hot fudge sauce?
Not now Baroque…..focus on the game!
Posted by Scott H on 04/20/08 at 04:05 PM ET
absolutely you can. absolutely.
Rule 78: subsect J:
In the event that a goalkeeper has been pushed into the net together with the puck after making a stop, the goal will be disallowed. If applicable, appropriate penalties will be assessed.
That puck was under Ellis’ right knee (it didn’t become visible until he lifted his Right knee as he fell to his left while crotching the post.

They need to censor out the inbreeding.
Posted by lilja4ever on 04/20/08 at 04:07 PM ET
Damn I’m getting to dislike Sammuellssonnn for and more, how ‘bout sliding that backhanded across the goal mouth to either of the 2 Wings instead of trying to jam it into Ellis’ stick?

I love Doc doing all these beer ads, as from having met him and spoken to him, he’s clearly had little to no liquor in his entire life.

Not that it stopped the refs from giving the Ducks a goal under those exact circumstances last spring.

I figured the fact that the whistle hadn’t blown means the puck is loose. sure, if the goalie has it in his glove or something you can’t shove him in for a goal, but if it’s loose you can.

Classic Wings Playoff Game: outshoot, outshoot, outchance, miss by a bounce, carry a narrow lead to give away on a turnover than leave the game up to chance.
I said Ellis was due for a human game, the first goal last game by Val was kinda soft, this one he just got hosed by a very high bounce.
The ice there is terrible, pucks stopping behind the blades of the sticks.

Which went to video review, nonetheless.

That music that NBC plays during that little highlight feature should be their theme song, not the bland one they currently use. The one for the highlights is almost as good as Tesh’s NBA theme.

Before Game 6, Tootoo puts on a Canucks jersey and… gets a few calls going his way!
Posted by IceBuddha from San Diego on 04/20/08 at 04:13 PM ET

A friend. If it was a coworker, then the answer would be “very shortly.”
(Although they know better than that, I hope.)
I pick Datsyuk.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 04/20/08 at 04:13 PM ET
Is that idiot behind the penalty box suggesting Dast dove on that play? Apparently having your sister also be your mother can screw up your eyesight.

A review that specifically ignored the rulebook. No bias that series, none at all.
Posted by Clark on 04/20/08 at 04:14 PM ET
That was weird—my father back in A2 just called me during the intermission. His pick, incidentally, is Zetterberg.
Bill, you’re a real doom-monger, you know that? Welcome.
I’m gonna go with Homer. He’s been playing just this side of legal all game.
