At least Franzen shot the damn puck

Looks like the Preds have stopped skating. They’ve given up.

Still better hockey if the ice isn’t a Slurpee.

Freaking Samuellsson Again, turnover the puck again and it stays in our zone, dump Sammy, keep Abdul next year.

Ozzy—thinking—Gee I get to play too
NSH not getting anything going at all. Most dangerous play was that Legwand SH chance in the 2nd

But I like it here. Good company!

With Nashville giving up, who would you rather see in round two. Flames or Avs? I’d take the Avs myself.
Posted by jeffreyonfire from Edmonton, AB on 04/20/08 at 04:39 PM ET
NSH with 7 shots since the end of the 1st
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/20/08 at 04:39 PM ET
Baroque: At least in here, we do try to be reasonably articulate.
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/20/08 at 04:40 PM ET
5 minutes to go…
Posted by Matt from Chicago on 04/20/08 at 04:40 PM ET
CBC just gave the times for the two quick goals that Nashville scored in the series.
Those were all against Hasek, however - I’ll still be nervous until the final horn. One bad break for Detroit and Nashville gets right back in it.

But I like it here. Good company!
For sure! Not that there are any NSH forums…
Posted by lilja4ever on 04/20/08 at 04:42 PM ET
2-0 Wings, 4 minutes left…and the NBC idiots are still talking about what “great skaters” the Nashville D are. amazing.
Posted by PaulinMiamiBeach on 04/20/08 at 04:42 PM ET
Stop that Baroque—postive thoughts puhlease
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/20/08 at 04:43 PM ET
Can’t we get a second round by?
I wish Drake scored…he’s played a great game. True Playoff performer…
Damn…Dats
Posted by Osrt on 04/20/08 at 04:44 PM ET
CBC: “I think you can butter the foreheads of the Predators, cause they’re toast in this series”
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
Ozzie wants his shutout. What goalie controversy? Dominik who?
I just saw Nicole Kidman in the stands. She’s married to Keith Urban, you know. Good friends with Vince Gill. Australia takes this Southern geography thing and their penchant for eating strange animals and hunting and cattle herding too far.
I’m constantly astounded by the number of people in the SoGay who think that mustard yellow is an attractive shade for jerseys. Color-blindness because their fathers were bloodhounds, I’m guessing.
Baroque, you almost got your Dats goal there. Durned Ellis.
Now they’ve got me talking like them. Tarnation…
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
will Osgood shoot the puck if given the chance?
Posted by PaulinMiamiBeach on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
Wow. That save summarizes this whole series. I’m not calling this over yet, but I have to give it up to Ellis. He’s had an incredible run this series.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
CBC comment:
“Once again Nashville is second on the puck in their own end.”
“Even in these late stages, Detroit still so hard on the puck.”
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
the DC just said the wheels came off the cart on the two man advantage.
No mention of Lids shorty from center ice. Douche.
Posted by wingsfanindenver on 04/20/08 at 04:45 PM ET
That was like 7 penalties in a row…
oh well..
good for Raffy
Posted by Osrt on 04/20/08 at 04:47 PM ET
nice, this is the way this whole series should have gone.
Posted by wingsfanindenver on 04/20/08 at 04:47 PM ET
Now there’s time for the staff to change out the trash bags and mop up all the body fluids before the next round.
Posted by Nate A from Detroit-ish on 04/20/08 at 04:47 PM ET
Bring on the Avs!
Ozzie = Series MVP. 152 minutes, 1 goal against
Posted by Matt from Chicago on 04/20/08 at 04:47 PM ET
Hell, I’ll take the empty-netter.
Let’s see who shakes TuTu’s hand…
Posted by AndrewFromAnnArbor on 04/20/08 at 04:48 PM ET
no mention from DC about how “weak” Detroit’s goal tending is.
Posted by wingsfanindenver on 04/20/08 at 04:48 PM ET
Ozzie is the man!“BRING IT ON!” Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
Posted by Kate from Pa.-made in Detroit on 04/20/08 at 04:48 PM ET
Tank the last game of the season again next year, No-neck.
Posted by O-Joe on 04/20/08 at 04:49 PM ET
Ozzie with the shutout. Fantastic game, great series. With a better team in front of him, Ellis would have been the next J.S. Giguere.
Posted by Gabriel from San Diego, CA on 04/20/08 at 04:49 PM ET
Good for NSH fans for cheering their team’s effort. Right on people.
Posted by Osrt on 04/20/08 at 04:49 PM ET
Ozzy .50 gaa in two games—and a shutout in a game NSH had to win— SWEEEETTTT
Posted by Jeff OKWingnut from Quest for 12 on 04/20/08 at 04:49 PM ET
CBC mentioned the shortie from Lidstrom as a tough one. They showed footage from the Vancouver series, too - amazing how much alike they are.
Calgary or Colorado?
Colorado is closer, but they are a lot deeper than Calgary. Calgary has a chance to force a seventh, and if they push it to another couple games, they might be more tired.
Whoever, it will be tough - and in that case it doesn’t make any difference.
Shutout for Osgood. Not bad.
Posted by Baroque from Michigan on 04/20/08 at 04:51 PM ET
no mention from DC about how “weak” Detroit’s goal tending is.
And now he kisses ass. Douche
Posted by wingsfanindenver on 04/20/08 at 04:51 PM ET
I don’t like Calgary’s chances, so…bring on the Avs!
