So it looks like, due to the PPV conspiracy going on out in the far West, the game won’t begin until 2246 tonight.  Nice.  Yes, I’ll try another live blog.  But we have to come up with something unique, some odd twist, something that will keep me awake.

So, for the next twelve hours I’m asking each of you to devote some thought as to how we should approach something I’ve failed miserably at with each attempt.  And, it’s not just about staying awake, but creating something...blogging art. 

Speaking of art, don’t forget to vote.

These late starts could kiss my ass, if I wasn’t saving myself for Bettman.

Truth be told, I rarely have any trouble staying up for the late games because by the time they start I’m so infuriated with that lame-ass Hobbit of a Commish making the Wings participate in these travesty’s I couldn’t sleep if I wanted to.  ‘Bettmansssss!  We hates it!  We hates it forevaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!’ This is what he’s forced me to.

It’s gotten so bad I hear that ‘do do dodadoda do do do do’ circus music in my head when I see him crack his teeth and prepare to employ his typically eloquent-in-espousing-asinine-bullcrap style on some new topic he’s in the process of fubaring beyond all comprehension.

Boy, I hope the NHL gets those heated skate blades in time for the big outdoor game noone in the freaking USA is going to watch because there will be TEN DAMN COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES ON AT THE SAME TIME!

This one’s easy...treat it like it’s a drinking game, Chief. Eat a block of cheese for every BS penalty called and blog about how you’re feeling.  For every Homer goal called back, you give us five paragraphs on the new uniforms. Every time they mention how old Chelios is, you give us a MBCQOTD in haiku form.

Umm… has anyone noticed how well the (C)BJs are playing?  Nash, Federov, and Viborny are doing well and Pascal Leclaire apparently sold his soul in the offseason. If they continue, our chance of getting Feds back is nil because they will be sure...omg, I cant believe I’m writing this....make the playoffs! aaahhhhhh.....

Hell, I might actually go see that game at the Joe.

Yup.  I wonder if they are playing the same stifling/nearly unwatchable defense the Stars did under Hitchcock?

Of Chicago, St. Louis, and Columbus, I’d be most surprised if Chicago made the playoffs.  With the most important offensive threats on the team 18 and 19 years old, if they can just improve during the year and learn for next season that will be a lot more for the Blackhawks fans to look forward to than they have had in years.  Columbus has to stop playing putrid hockey sometime, and St. Louis looked pretty good near the end of last season.  Nashville is really struggling.

I think Chicago’s first televised home game will be November 11th against Detroit.

The CBjs play at the Joe on Nov. 9th.  I’m there baby!  $9 tickets hopefully; as George pointed out at some point, you can only buy these at the Joe, which means that you’ll probably spring for bigger tickets if they’re sold out. That’s some evil genius, stroke the mustache and kitty kat in your lap kindof thinking right there.... and I’m playing right into their hands…
