LB: The Wings Go To LA Seeking A Surgically Enhanced Victory

The Wings return to the land of sunshine and silicone for yet another afternoon weekend game.
Thanks to Gary. Ass’ schedule it is the third weekend in a row we play an afternoon game.
But I am in a very bad mood about our last game, and that means today’s LB will feature some nipping and tucking of song choices.
Kronwall is out, as is May who is replaced by Maltby today. I know this because our good friend Jeff from OK told me so in today’s GDT. You see, the past couple of days I haven’t been able to stomach any work of our Diggers. I don’t need drooling analysis of what we all know is a lack of heart and commitment on the Red Wings. I’ll stick to reading the 19 and their blogs for insight with some venom. God bless them all, each and every one of them.
After the amazing victory in San Jose to drop a turd in Anaheim has everybody pissed off. And rightfully so.
So until the Wings start winning games, as we know they are capable of doing, there will be no musical selections for the Live Blog.
If the Wings make us suffer, we shouldn’t sugar coat the LB’s with fun musical choices. It is the homestretch of the season now, the time for fun and games is over. It is time to put the skate to the throat and press down. Bitches.

I hate Brad Stuart.
I also hate Howard’s puck handling. He’s such a squirrel…
I hate injuries.
I hate this season.

I just don’t know what to say anymore.
Well, maybe I do, because when the Wings went up by three I said the stage was now set for a three-goal outburst by the Kings.
But that was an easy one to predict, sadly.

I hate Brad Stuart.
I second that, he lost us the cup along with Oz in june,
why did the Kings give him up? I wonder
Posted by edillac from isolation on 02/06/10 at 05:40 PM ET
Maybe that epic PK at the end of the period there will give some momentum.
Why is every interview with every hockey player ever exactly the same?

I try not to give knee jerk analysis, but this team needs a shake up.
Somebody vital, important and a mainstay should be traded. I know that’s not how Kenny rolls but I think this team needs it. Franzen doesn’t help shit if they can’t protect even the largest of leads.

His addition also helped us win the cup in 08.

I said the same thing not too long ago.
This team is stagnant. The only problem is that Franzen’s return schedule doesn’t allow him much time to spark the team before the trade deadline.
It’s a tricky situation, and Holland is more likely to stand pat than not.

And of course on the Kings feed they are reliving the 2001 playoff series against Detroit. Just what I need to see right now!

Bitching, whining, crying.
Monday-morning quarterbacking.
Claiming you’re a genius because you predicted something bad would happen and it did, or if something good happened, taking credit for the “reverse mojo jinx”.

Replays confirm, Stuart on the ice for all three goals against.

Untrue. Unless sports fans everywhere are sadists. Frustration and despair are very different from joy. Only one of those emotions do we chase continually in our lives.
Remember when Chief said that other playoff teams won’t want the Red Wings in their lives?
I think sometimes it is us who no longer wants this team in our lives.
Christ we’re spoiled, whiny bitches.

It’s going to be another long game for Brad.
As I said, when he makes mistakes they tend to really bite us. Of course, he hasn’t had much help from his defensive partners this season (as opposed to when Rafi makes mistakes, he has TPH around). Stu’s still a great asset—we wouldn’t have made it to a game 7 last year without him, nor would we be in the playoff hunt this year without him.
