There has been a lot of moving and shaking today. If you read the signs around the league they will tell you some teams are making a serious bid for the playoffs. Phoenix and LA are two of the teams who are going to the mat in a fight for a playoff spot. The Wings have been in a fight for the playoffs since Jobu started fuching with us. Unfortunately, Toronto is making a bid for early tee times, but I actually feel optimistic that there is hope on the horizon for the first time in almost a decade in Leafs Nation.
Back to Detroit.
The Clusterfaux to the Playoffs is well illustrated by RWBill. The Wings are leading the Peloton of Suck, for now. Anything can happen, the team has to read the sign on the wall telling them to control their own destiny. Win games and leave everyone in the dust behind you.

There can be no denying that the Wings need to win it all heading into the playoffs. And then win it all in the playoffs. One step at a time, so says my sponsor. I am VooX and I am a Wingaholic.
I’ve been taking accounts of things and have been noticing a lot of signs lately. Most of them are telling me what I can’t do. But when it comes to the Red Wings, the signs say that we can do it. We can make the playoffs. Our rightful home.
Junior will take the division this season. Like last year, when the Big Brother Wings face them in the playoffs we will take their candy and make them cry. The Sharks will take the conference. Unfortunately the trade deadline didn’t bring any heart transplants so they will suffer once again as their season seizes up in the annual second round coronary.
The Wings will be a team of destiny when we make the post-season. So says my personal psychic, Sylvia Browne. Sylvia may be batshit crazy, but she can read the signs. The Wings will be the nastiest team to face in the postseason. Pure grit and heart. With some Dangle-Dangle for good measure. Even Uncle Mike knows it and he isn’t afraid to mumble it in your ear.
All the signs point to what needs to be done. A team effort like we saw in the first period against the Dive, and tenacity to overcome all obstacles Li’l Gary throws at us just like in the third period. The Wings need to win to return to the playoffs, and then win some more and tell the entire league to STFU. This bitch ain’t dead and she hasn’t rolled over. Take your eyes off us for one second and we will bite you in the throat.
All signs point to victory, and the sign behind the bar says no one gets cut off in the Hasek Club Car.

Incorporating vampirism into the game plan.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

Let’s go Red Wings. Not sure if I’ll be on the LB. Have 25 minutes to find out why my internet keeps cutting out on my laptop.
Do it, bitches!

Oh for cryin’... the game’s on NHL Network????
Why the hell did I pay for the damn GameCenter Live package??? This is the 2nd game in a row that is blacked out.
Posted by Incognetis from Delaware... Hi... I'm in... Delaware on 03/03/10 at 07:17 PM ET
I get the NHL Network on Dish through Center Ice. Center Ice is free all week.

That’s interesting- for me, having the game on the NHL Network is good news because it means I don’t have to watch the game online. One man’s godsend is another man’s gut punch.

We canceled our cable except for the most basic package and have been watching all of our TV online for the past couple months, and I’ve been watching the Wings on GameCenter Live since January. It’s really a great service when the games aren’t blacked out (i.e. on Versus, NHLNet, or NBC). So that means I’m S.O.L. tonight. I’m hoping Alpha-Tango-etc. will help, as I’m stuck doing dissertation revisions in my office all night anyway.

Last February another team was in the same situation in the East. Struggling to make the playoffs.
The Wings currently are sitting in the eighth and final spot for now, and will only continue to rise. Uncle Mike had to work with what he was given. What he has given in return is another very real run for the Cup. All doubters will be silenced within the next 20 games.
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

I’m getting free Center Ice this week, but the NHL Network doesn’t seem to be part of the deal. It’s still been blacked out on my cable.

One fugly medal, IMHO. At least it was a solid chunk of gold. I remember the Salt Lake City games where almost 50% of the medal was non-precious gold.

Good stuff VooX, had me right up til the Tesla.
We’ve been saying the same things for awhile now…. our collective destiny is in the hands of the guys on the ice. Here’s to hoping they want to earn a spot in the second season as badly as we want them to.
Posted by MOWingsfan19 on 03/03/10 at 07:43 PM ET
Not as much energy early as in the Colorado game.

The thing I hate about watching on line is that I can see the mistakes but I can’t tell the uni #s to see who made them.

Kesler hasn’t lost his scoring touch.
I hope Raffi hasn’t either, we need much essence for the playoff drive.

Shit. I knew that cheer for Kesler in the pre-game was going to put him at ease.
