LB:  The Writing Is On The Wall, The Wings Need To Win It All

There has been a lot of moving and shaking today.  If you read the signs around the league they will tell you some teams are making a serious bid for the playoffs.  Phoenix and LA are two of the teams who are going to the mat in a fight for a playoff spot.  The Wings have been in a fight for the playoffs since Jobu started fuching with us.  Unfortunately, Toronto is making a bid for early tee times, but I actually feel optimistic that there is hope on the horizon for the first time in almost a decade in Leafs Nation.

Back to Detroit.

The Clusterfaux to the Playoffs is well illustrated by RWBill.  The Wings are leading the Peloton of Suck, for now.  Anything can happen, the team has to read the sign on the wall telling them to control their own destiny.  Win games and leave everyone in the dust behind you.

There can be no denying that the Wings need to win it all heading into the playoffs.  And then win it all in the playoffs.  One step at a time, so says my sponsor.  I am VooX and I am a Wingaholic.

I’ve been taking accounts of things and have been noticing a lot of signs lately.  Most of them are telling me what I can’t do.  But when it comes to the Red Wings, the signs say that we can do it.  We can make the playoffs.  Our rightful home.

Junior will take the division this season.  Like last year, when the Big Brother Wings face them in the playoffs we will take their candy and make them cry.  The Sharks will take the conference. Unfortunately the trade deadline didn’t bring any heart transplants so they will suffer once again as their season seizes up in the annual second round coronary.

The Wings will be a team of destiny when we make the post-season.  So says my personal psychic, Sylvia Browne.  Sylvia may be batshit crazy, but she can read the signs.  The Wings will be the nastiest team to face in the postseason.  Pure grit and heart.  With some Dangle-Dangle for good measure.  Even Uncle Mike knows it and he isn’t afraid to mumble it in your ear.

All the signs point to what needs to be done.  A team effort like we saw in the first period against the Dive, and tenacity to overcome all obstacles Li’l Gary throws at us just like in the third period.  The Wings need to win to return to the playoffs, and then win some more and tell the entire league to STFU.  This bitch ain’t dead and she hasn’t rolled over.  Take your eyes off us for one second and we will bite you in the throat.

All signs point to victory, and the sign behind the bar says no one gets cut off in the Hasek Club Car.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
