Hey 19, I wanted to pass along a couple of must-see stories. Some great stuff to keep you busy in my absence.
First, Winging it in Motown, serious journalists that they are, have an outstanding interview with Tomas Tatar.
WIM: How do you feel you feel this season is going?
TATAR: I feel great here. It’s a man’s league here, I think it’s pretty good. It’s a perfect experience for my hockey life. I feel the league is really good, and I like it here.WIM: How has it been adjusting to the AHL from Slovakia?
TATAR: This league is so much more physical and faster. The big difference here is age. The Slovak league plays with older guys. They are smart, but they don’t skate like everyone does over here. Everyone here wants to play in the NHL, so everyone’s fighting for their place. I think there is a big difference with the speed in the league, and the physical play, like in the corners.
Check out the rest of the interview at Winging it in Motown. A stick tap for the fine work, boys.
In the live blog a couple of games ago, a member of the 19 pointed yet another gem from Down Goes Brown.
Hacked: Gary Bettman’s Gmail Account
For those familiar with Gmail, ignore what you usually do. Read the Gmail account screen-grab from the top to the bottom. The attention to detail in the entire post is outstanding.
See you bitches tomorrow for the third weekend in a row with an afternoon game. Thanks Gary. Ass.

There’s a chance that the Olympic hockey could be good this year. Although, saying that, I feel like one of those guys who honestly believes that something that is perfectly flat and constant is actually “getting better” each time. What’s next? I’ll probably find myself saying that gravity is pulling things down faster and faster everyday.

That explains it then. I’m not gaining weight: the earth is.

As Jeremy Clarkson would say: “Gravity is a cruel, and unpredictable mistress.”
By the way VooX, dig the Simpsons reference here.

Good morning bitches. Snow bound. It’s totally awesome. I’m wondering how the rest of the 19 are doing in the Blizzard of 2010? I love Mother Nature.

You could tell he was a bit rusty, but he clearly became more comfortable as the game went on. It has to be a huge weight off his mind to just have the first game behind him.

Thanks for the pointer, Baroque.
Sounds positive. (We need more “positives” around here lately.)

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.
