Hoss gets his pay day for the next four years, and his contract diminishes as he nears 40, to lower the cap hit.
I think that’d be fairly reasonable.
I dunno…I think that’s a bit low. Hossa could pick up a 6 year/$50m contract somewhere. I expect the best we can see there is maybe an 11 year/$60m contract, for a hit somewhere aroudn $5.5/year.

I came up with a little trick to acquire jerseys from teams I don’t like: ask for them as gifts. That way I don’t spend MY money on them and I don’t feel so bad about having jerseys from those teams in my closet.

I used to bid obscenely low on lots at sports auctions…used to be that if you were lucky, you pay $50 for 20 authentics. I have about 70 jerseys hanging in the closet…they don’t see the light of day, so I don’t do that anymore.
