I said it was a meaningless stat - all those saves by Ellis were on his knees, square to the shooter, no side to side, no second chances.
all this is going to take, and probably will be, is a deflection off someone’s skate.

I just wanted to point out:
Ellis: He’s not the goalie we saw the last time the Wings played Bubba in the regular season. He’s an average goalie who isn’t playing over his head any longer. 26 shots on goal against Dan Ellis isn’t nearly enough. 40 will spell at least 4 goals.
