Stupid brother called just as the hot stove was starting…
I know. My sister called this evening during the game, too. That’s why I was channelling e.e. cummings for a while - I can’t hit the shift key if I’m holding the phone in one hand and typing with only the other hand.
Nashville just tied their game 4-4 on a goal from Radek Bonk.

Also just saw a replay of that pokecheck by him; good stuff.

awesome game in Montreal

HNIC switched to the Montreal game for OT.
Awesome save for Nashvile on Kovalev, and then a shot off the post for Nashville when the player went in all alone.
No goals, so off to the shootout in Montreal.

“channelling e.e. cummings”
I spotted that and decided it was the thought that counts.
A shoot-out now, and no Mason.

The tiny little letters that spell “Nashville” above the Predators logo look really, really stupid.
If I had a big dumb Rottweiller I’d name it Radek Bonk.

Wow.
Preds win in a shootout after being down 4-1 with 9:19 to go.
Tough loss for the Habs.

I give Ray Whitney an award for Most Useless Goal of the Night.
Check out the boxscore for the Buffalo game. He scored at 18:05 of the third on a power-play after Buffalo was up 8-0, so he ruins the shutout for Ryan Miller and that was it.

Huet looked terrible; he got smoked on every shot.

“Who does one root for between Calgary and Columbus?”
Rooting for any team coached by Mike Keenan is a one-way ticket to obscurity.

The Wings were lucky to win this game.
Ozzie won it for them.
They were a step slower than the Cayotes after the first 10 minutes.
Nobody could handle the puck.
The Wings were dominated in their own end.
Lilja and Kronwall looked particularly bad.
Hudler made a great feed to Cleary.
That line should be Hudler, Cleary, Samuelson.
Filpulla is just not getting it done. Move him to Cleary’s spot on the Checking line.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
