Stuck in traffic on the way home tonite and I had a pleasant little fantasy about punching somebody right in the face. Who? The jackass who left a Windsor blackjack table in the mid-90’s because Steve Yzerman was “bad luck.” The daydream ended pleasantly just as one of my favorite tunes came on.
Neil Peart, to my knowledge, has never been a pharmacist. But this line is appropriate tonite, because it’s exactly the opposite of The Captain.
“Glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity.”
Steve Yzerman never gave a damn about any trophies but one and he didn’t compromise a single frigging thing. His integrity remains intact.
So, screw it, tonite we’ll go ahead and live blog his Induction into the Motherfu**ing Hockey Hall of Fame.
Because that, bitches, is how we roll.

Not to downplay Stevey Y’s deserviing induction, but when you compare him to Osgood, how can you even put the two in the same building? Honestly 19. You can’t have it both ways. Yes, Yzerman is getting what he deserves. But no, Osgood doesn’t belong in the same class. Or even close.

Actually, 19, I’m not downplaying it. You guys do when you say that Chris Osgood belongs in the HoF. Chris Osgood deserves to be in the HoF as much as Kris Draper or a number of other good soldiers who have benefited from being on a great team for over a decade.

I’m not angry, nor am I trying to be an assho|e when I say this, but seriously nobody cares tonight. It’s all good. You could say Ozzie raped Mrs. Ilitch with his dick sticking through a Hot-n-Ready and nobody would get mad at you. You saying anything would be a waste of your time.
