I’ll be mostly occupied with moving the IwoCPO family into the new house today, so posts will be limited. Lots of hurting Wings today, I’d imagine. I’ll be back with a comprehensive review of the causes of said pain later today.

Good game, good overtime, the outcome was a bit of a letdown. Schneider could have helped a lot. Bertuzzi could have helped too..I bet he is watching from Fla. laughing his ass off watching the imposter he sent in his place Lilja got his 3rd playoff penalty last night, for an elbow to Selanne and for 2 minutes he should have hit him a lot harder.. chris pronger 1A, +1, and of course it had to be the GW OT goal, but still the wings managed to tie him in knots at times, exposing the inner-dinosaur, and forcing penalties.
Hey IWO, isn’t moving great. For about 10 minutes you know exactly WHERE everything you own is. Then, it won’t happen again, until your next move. Good Luck

Which ones weren’t worthy? The ones that went in to the net and they crashed on?

Editing error, Lilja was a new sentence.

Hello Red Wings fans! I wrote a post on vhockey.blogspot.com the other day in which I looked at the development of Datsyuk and Zetterberg and tried to show what wisdom could be taken from their emergence. Since you folks obviously know Detroit better than I do I was hoping you could stop by and add your comments to the post “By Way of Example”. Thank you very much to anyone who comments, corrects, or helps to flesh out the post in any way!

I thought the Perry-Getlaf-Penner line gave us a lot of difficulty. I thought Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Maltby-Cleary-Draper had a great game. Lang had flashes of brilliance sometimes and was lazy at other times. Bertuzzi is slowly getting better, but too slowly in my opinion. The D is alright, especially Lidstrom and Chelios. Lebda has a tough time.
All in all, I think the refs are not calling enough penalties. When the Wings got a PP on the Shannon penalty, Homer was hooked up as he almost broke away. The Ducks should have had their second 3 on 5 there. I was very angry about Marchant’s hit on Datsyuk in the beginning of the game. He got called but that looked like a knee-on-knee hit. Maybe they were trying to get him like Perry predicted in the first game.

Where are all the Duck Fans that were belly aching about Wings winning a game with cheap, flukey, ugly and essentially “we are not worthy” goals after game one? (crickets) Yup, that’s what I thought…a win is a win. Take it to the bank.
Game 3 at the Honda Ponda should be good!
